This is a tasty Charleston-style burger recipe that you can use at your next cookout or picnic. This burger is a hit with everyone because it has juicy beef, salty pickles, and tangy cheese.
Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef. 1/2 cup diced onion. 1/4 cup diced pickles. 4 hamburger buns. 4 slices of cheddar cheese. Lettuce leaves. Tomato slices. Ketchup. Mustard. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, diced onion, and diced pickles. Season with salt and pepper. Form the mixture into 4 equal-sized burger patties. Place the burger patties on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. During the last minute of cooking, add a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty and close the grill lid to melt the cheese. While the burgers are cooking, lightly toast the hamburger buns on the grill until they are slightly crispy. Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf and tomato slice on the bottom half of each bun. Add the cooked burger patty with melted cheese on top of the veggies. Squeeze ketchup and mustard to taste on top of the patty, and cover with the top half of the bun. Serve the Charleston burgers hot and enjoy!
