Ingredients: 1 lb dried navy beans. 3 cups diced ham. 1 onion, chopped. 3 carrots, sliced. 3 celery stalks, sliced. 4 cloves garlic, minced. 6 cups chicken broth. 1 bay leaf. 1 tsp dried thyme. 1/2 tsp black pepper. Salt to taste.
Instructions: Rinse and sort the navy beans, then place them in the slow cooker. Add diced ham, chopped onion, sliced carrots, sliced celery, minced garlic, chicken broth, bay leaf, dried thyme, black pepper, and salt to taste. Stir to combine ingredients. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or until beans are tender. Once done, remove the bay leaf before serving.
