Leader of the Occult False Face Society, which guttered out in the thirties and was survived by the Sionis family.

Roman Sionis revived it as a crime syndicate when he broke away from the Cosa Nostra, though he died during the War of Jokes and Riddles, making them a minor power.

Resurrected again by Jeremiah Arkham following the death of Stephanie Brown, plunging Gotham into a gang war.

Regained occult status during this period, resulting in Arkham's resurrection in the Cataclysm following his death at Jason Todd's hands.

Silver Swan

Vanessa Katepalis, Julia Katepalis' daughter, ballerina paralyzed in the car accident that killed her dad.

Given Nanites in an experiment to restore her ability to walk, but was in fact a trap.

Modified by Veronica Cale with nth metal technology reverse engineered from the Hawksuits given to the U.S. Military.

Mindwiped, now a blank slate ruled by spite and hatred.

Ultrahumanite

Gerard Shugel was a scientist and Metahuman body hopper active since the 40's

Eventually transferred mind to Xavier Simon, and spent time researching the odd events in Smallville, Kansas.

Transferred mind into cryokinetic actress Dolores Winters, and copied mind over into an albino Gorilla from Gorilla City.

Fascinated by Brainiac, attempts to copy Brainiac collective hive mind.

Professor Pyg

Based off of his Beware the Batman version.

Ecoterrorist who wants to punish industrialists and uplift humans into the perfection of animals using the Langstrom Retrovirus and surgery, alongside his sidekick Mr. Frog.

Involved with TMNT stuff as well, and has a werehog form.

Mr. Mxy.

Mr Mxy is a reader/fan of Superman who just likes seeing Superman in action, so keeps making situations and problems for him to solve whenever he thinks things have gotten too slow.

Zatanna

Her design in this piece was inspired by @/gabriellarragan 's design

Giganta

The first Giganta was Olga, a citizen of Gorilla City captured by Axis forces and exposed to experimentation in hopes to create a super soldier. What they got was a super strong (even by Gorilla standards) Gorilla who could grow up to sixty feet, and tangled with Wonder Woman. Despite this, she was ultimately a good soul, and would return to Gorilla City following Diana freeing her from Nazi control.

Doris Zuel was desperate to live, not to fall victim to the blood disease slowly killing her, but even her medical genius was unable to overcome it. Enter Circe, who took Doris' desperation to offer her a cure, a healthy body, a powerful body, carved from enchanted marble and capable of growing into a giant, in exchange for helping Circe dispose of Wonder Woman. Even after that failed, she found herself appreciating the power.

So I split another character into two again. Olga, referencing the Gorilla lore from the Silver Age, and the Modern Age Doris, a transgender scientist with a blood disease. Her powers do come from Circe here as a reference to the mind transfer from more recent lore, and the multiple depictions I've seen of Giganta as a magical statue, which seemed like a very nice parallel to Diana's clay origin, and Circe seemed like the most expedient way to accomplish that.

The Mad Hatter

Jervis Tetch never got over the rejection by his childhood friend Alice. Not even as he was pulled into criminal underbelly of Prohibition-era Gotham, not even as he stumbled his way into studies of the occult, developing the power to dominate the minds of others, even as he leveraged these new powers into a position of leadership of the Wonderland Mob, terrorizing Gotham throughout the thirties and forties, and coming to blows with the shadowy Batman of the Golden Age, before finally earning a permanent stay in Arkham when his studies in the Occult broke his brain for good.

Zatanna

Zelda Zatanna Zatara grew up on the knee of her mother on the backstage of her father's performances, learning stage illusion and genuine sorcery from both on top of her regular lessons. Following her mother's seeming death when she was eight, she attached herself to her father Giovanni's hip, making herself his assistant on stage and even helping him teach his apprentice, a young man named Bruce. Adulthood would herald her taking over her father's show, and an induction to the other side of her father's work: The Sentinels of Magic, where he'd met her mother, in truth a sorceress from a hidden realm of magic in Turkey. Her new responsibilities would see her encountering for hire occultist John Constantine and the nefarious Nick Necro, and even consulting with her old "friend" Bruce in his adventures as Batman, the latter of which would occur as she searched for Giovanni, who'd gone missing shortly after her induction into the Sentinels. Bruce would put her in contact with the Justice League to help, but the fruits of said search would not turn out to be her father, but a much younger brother she never knew existed: Zachary Zatara.

Donna Troy

The Rite of Artemis was founded by Amazons of the opinion that waiting for murdered women and girls to reincarnate in the Well of Souls was not enough. Donna Troy was a recipient of this generosity during Wonder Woman's appearance during World War II, as Diana would rescue her from burning orphanage where she love. Badly burned during the ordeal, Diana would race her back to Themyscira, where she would be healed with Themysciran Clay, the Purple Ray, and the most precious gift of all: A fragment of the sacred breath which animated Diana, instilling Donna with some of Diana's own sacred power and gifts. Donna hoped to use this power but would not get the chance to do so until Diana's return to Man's World at the beginning of the Modern Age. From there she would make friends with many of the other young heroes of the era, deeming them "Titans of Tomorrow". After the Titans and New Titans, she would become a wanderer or realms in the vein of Diana before her, racking up her own victories, a collection of mythical and interstellar weaponry, and even a son sired by the titans of old, Robby.

Donna Troy, the woman with a Thousand Origins. I slimmed it down to being rescued from a fire during World War II, and getting plastic surgery before becoming Diana's sidekick in the Modern Age. After her Titans and New Titans adventures she kinda bounces through the Magical and Multiversal sides, basically an Explorer type hero collecting treasures from her adventures. Including Robert Long, who would be tied into the Titan Seed storyline Donna was involved with. The other lore I've got here is the Rite of Artemis, basically the idea of Amazons thinking that the Well of Souls isn't enough and are engaged in actively recruiting women, like the mythological Hunters of Artemis.

Cassandra Sandsmark

Cassandra Sandsmark only ever knew life as the daughter of Helena Sandsmark, Archeologist and Curator of the Gateway Museum of History. This brought her into contact with Wonder Woman, who she regarded as a personal hero, someone she hoped to emulate with a growing strength, durability, and "conflict sense" she wrote off as the development of Metahuman powers. That was, until, she assisted Diana in a battle against the villain Decay with the help of the Godkiller Armor, a weapon designed by Ares to only be wielded by his spawn. This would open the door to a friendship with Sephanie Brown and Thad Tanaka, the foundation of Young Justice, conflict with the Church of Anti-Life, and the discovery of her true history as Lyta, daughter of Ares and Circe.

Terra Tara of the House of Markov would grow up in the shadow of her fathers' infidelity and the increasing tension caused by Markovia's monarchist restoration. That is not to say her abduction by the 'Bedlam' Syndicate would be any easier, though the powers were a nice bonus. Eventually she would be 'recruited' the Hive and turned into a spy at the behest of the Wilson brothers, Deathstroke & Jericho. She would spend months embedded with the Teen Titans, growing closer with Beast Boy in particular, but it would not stop her from turning on them, only to find herself double crossed by Deathstroke too. Driven into a corner and all too tired of being used and manipulated, Terra took the only option that seemed to grant her any agency, bringing down an abondoned mine on Titan and HIVE alike, and walking into the carnage when Beast Boy attempted to save her.

Though not as famous as Themyscira or Atlantis, the hidden realm of Subterrania existed in a pocket realm below Europe, its borders guarded by powerful Geomancers. One of these Geomancers, a young apprentice by the name of Atlee, was called to investigate the latest of these disturbances undeneath the nation of Markovia. There she would meet Supergirl and Powergirl, and help talk down the Geokinetic construct carrying the mind of Tara Markov. She would allow Tara into Subterrania, willingly taking the exile that would be required to grant such sanctuary, and begin adventuring alongside Power Girl alongside acting as an informal ambassador to the KIngdoms of The Underworld.

Terra as a Superhero mantle is surprsisingly well tied together. For the first Terra, I made her story a bit of tragedy, a girl denied choice throughout her life who finally took said life into her own hands, if only to end it. (Also E136 Deathstroke is Grant, not Slade). Terra/Atlee is somewhat unconnected by contrast, with Subterrania (relatively) underneath Markovia, and a natural mage instead of being 'infused' with Terra's DNA. Terra II, who actually had the same origin as Atlee, is instead Tara Markov in a Swamp Thing situation, just connected to the Melt instead of the Root.
