A Heart that was Always Warm (North x Reader)
You found or rather you stumbled upon accidentally finding the Jericho ship in the dock. Later realizing from further inspection that it's residence are androids that deviated and live out the rest of their lives there hidden away from the public eye.
One of the androids a PL600, named Simon asked you to leave kindly and never reveal the location. You left that day feeling sorry for them and came back a week after accumulating supplies from Cyberlife stores that you purchased and stocked up on. From then on you integrated yourself into Jericho helping out with supply runs for Thirium and spare parts.
You got close with several androids aboard the Jericho ship. Learning their names. Simon and Josh were probably the most kindest in regards to hospitality even if you insisted not to they created a spare room for you for when you tired yourself out from running errands. Lucy was a kind soul always helping out when she can you respected that and always appreciated conversations with her. But North well distant is probably the only word you could use to describe her. You could understand for her to be hesitant especially of the harsh treatment that androids experience from humans. You can empathize with that fear.
To say the least about North she was hard to get close to because of that or to put it short hard to get close to due to the fact you were human. At least that's how you saw it
But not to say that you didn't try to be polite and friendly with her, to get close to her. You really did. She was admirable. Passionate about her people and there really was more that met the average with her. North was more than a pretty face who-
"Why are you staring at me?"
Snapping out of your thoughts you blinked back your dazed expression realizing your inner monologuing and dreamy stare about North didn't go unnoticed as you sat on one of the crates in contemplation not taking note that you were staring off.
"Sorry about that I was just thinking." You said casting your eyes downward, a bit quietly a little embarrassed at yourself for your not so subtle infatuation.
She rolled her eyes. "What about?"Asking nonchalantly not batting an eye looking towards you all the while getting up to sit beside you. You sighed and exhaled sharply. "Don't you dislike humans?" Murmuring whilst tweedling your thumbs together. "I mean you hate what they did to you so I just...you know I wondered does that mean me too. I know you don't interact with me besides pleasantries, discussions, and maybe a little small with a smidge of your snarky humor. I just wanted to know if I was different to you or-" Before you could finish she pulled you in for a hug which caught you off guard but otherwise was very pleasant. "Can you chill with your angst, geez. You're worse than Simon when he goes off." She said holding you close. Kissing the top of your head as she cradles your face in her hands. "You're not like most people, Y/N. You mean so much to me. Even if I don't say it or put it into words. I may hate everyone else but not you. I love you." You smiled repeating it back and embraced her. Holding eachother close braving the world and its harsh treatment. Holding on just a little while longer.
