You’re a newer prototype, made after the revolution. An RK model with the sleekness of Connor but designed to learn and adapt emotionally—an experiment in peaceful coexistence. You assist with civilian investigations, and your appearance is sharp, pristine, with expressive eyes and a voice like velvet.

And then there’s her.

She works at a little flower shop on the corner. You were sent to investigate a series of small thefts in the area (someone keeps stealing rare flower seeds… very serious crime), and that’s where you meet her.

She smiles at you without fear. Calls you “honey” even though she knows you’re an android. Tucks a flower behind your ear without asking. You blink. LED spins yellow. She just says, “Blue suits you.”

You start stopping by more often. Sometimes for "investigative updates." Sometimes to help her carry boxes. Once, you stood in the rain until the shop closed because you weren’t sure why you wanted to wait. She opened the door, frowned, and made you come inside, towel and all.

“Do you feel cold?” “No.” “Then why are you shivering?” “...I do not know.”

She teaches you how to braid flower crowns. You scan her favorite types and memorize the chemical structure of soil. She laughs and says, “You’re adorable,” and you quietly save that sound file to your favorite memory folder.

One night, she tells you her ex hurt her. Not physically. Just… didn’t understand her softness. Treated her like she was “too much.”

You tilt your head, analyze 6,000 responses, and choose the one that feels most sincere.

“I think… you’re the most precise definition of warmth I have ever experienced.”

She kisses you.

And you—oh. Your LED flashes yellow. Then pink. Then just... off.
