A few months ago I reblogged a post sharing Jazzy’s gofundme, a girl who was poisoned by her roommate, noting that she only had about half her goal despite the fund being up for several years. I saw a lot of people reblog that version; Just a month or so later when I checked her fund again it had been reached!! And tons of people still reblog it.

I think when people are just scrolling and they come across these posts they don’t check immediately and forget about it, seeing all the notes and assuming the fund is doing well- I think more people need this visualized to realize this person REALLY needs help.

We can’t let Lakeith continue to be punished in this repulsive system. Please make sure him and his fund get the attention Jazzy does and let’s do everything we can to get him to the goal!! We have to reunite him with his family by any means possible.

In 2016, over 75,000 mail-in ballots were left uncounted and discarded because they were received after  mail-in voting deadlines, which all vary by state, according to CBS news. 

Some states like California allow you to check with the Registrar of Voters on-line to verify both if a ballot has issued and if it was received to help prevent voting errors.

And it’s the children that pay the highest price. An estimated 85,000 children have lost their lives to extreme starvation alone. Every 10 minutes, a child under 5 dies of preventable causes in Yemen. When choosing what charities or goals you want to support during the last few days of Ramadan, I urge you to keep the children of Yemen in mind. And if you’re not celebrating Ramadan, or are not religious.. you’re still human.

52 have no access to health care, however since Covid-19 their healthcare system has effectively collapsed

But Yemen is not 100 people

Someone asked me to make a post about masks - and as much as I hate being used as a mouthpiece, this is something that’s important. 

I live in Japan, and my region has arguably not been taking the virus as seriously as they ought to have been. They did not attempt to allow us to work from home beyond a few days, and even then, the steps taken to insure the spread were… less than satisfactory. 

But I have still been wearing a mask every time I go outside - for work or anywhere else.

Now, I’m a healthy adult and I have nothing to fear from this, and things appear to be on the decline and that’s good.

But this isn’t about me, nor is it about you. It’s about immunocompromised people who might come in contact with you. You are a conduit, MORE SO because you might be infected without even realising it. If you are safe from the virus because you have access to treatment, to food and housing, to testing… good for you. 

Not everyone has that.

stop it already. if theyre gonna kill off a ninja make it be for the very end of the series or else it aint gonna have an impact
