I don't know how this is the first time I actually noticed this, but I adore the way that Ratchet, Optimus and Bee gravitate towards standing not only together, but also closer to each other than the rest of the team. It's very sweet. (All of these screenshots should be from Inside Job, too, if I remember correctly. So, this is all within one episode - they're constantly on top of each other. Edit: aaaah. I was wrong. The last screenshot is from the beginning of Regeneration. ^^" But my point still stands. They're constantly hanging around each other.)
Here it's Ratchet who's standing right behind Bee in the circle around Optimus.
Here they do the same. Except that the bots have formed a circle around Ratchet and it's Optimus who's standing right behind Bee; it's a bit hard to tell from this angle, but based on their shadows I'm pretty sure that Bee's significantly closer to OP than he's to Bulkhead or Arcee. And that is while he's already walking away from Opimus. So, he was probably even closer than this at some point.
Here it's Bee who's directly behind Ratchet. And, again, he's standing way closer to Ratchet than he does the other team members. + None of the others get this close to Ratchet - in the screenshot above where Arcee is standing closest to Ratchet she is nowhere near as close to him as Bee gets here. Same with Optimus - now that Bee's left his side, none of the others are standing nearly as close to him as Bee used to.
Here, the Bots have once again formed a circle. And, this time, Optimus, Bee and Ratchet are ALL standing close to each other - they have grouped around Ratchet this time (which - very cute). Even though Arcee's fairly close to Bee, too, there's still significantly more distance between her and him than between him and Ratchet. Same goes for the other direction. You can't really see most of Optimus, but if you look closely, the tip of his pede is DIRECTLY next to Ratchet's.
+ Note how, once again, they've not only positioned themselves close to each other, but there's significantly less distant between any of them than there is between the other team members. Like, Arcee, Bulk and Smokey have each chosen their own corner of the circle to hang out in and then there's those three who are just huddling together on top of each other.
I rest my case.
(Edit: fixed some typos and clarified my argument at a few points)
List of dumbest injury causes, as ranked Ratchet.
Cracked chassis plating. Reason for injury, Bumblebee hid under Optimus's desk to spook him and subsequently got kicked in the chassis.
Concussion. Mirage was trying to sneak back in after 'curfew' while invisible and got a door shut on his head. Sidenote, he's still in trouble.
Strained wrist struts. Prowl tried to flip a table with too much shit on it and hurt himself.
Dented pedes. Sunstreaker was on the other end of the table (see above) and a lamp landed on his pedes.
Scratched plating. Jazz forgot why Earth Vehicles have headlights and tried driving without them in the dark. Injury was mostly cosmetic.
Stuck joints. Bulkhead and Bumblebee heard Coca Cola gets rust off metal, so they used it like soap. They apparently forgot that Coca Cola is also very sticky.
Stuck joints pt.2. Ultra Magnus fell off a human ship in the ocean and had to walk underwater back to shore. Human species 'barnicales' stuck to his left arm and impaired elbow joint movement.
Fractured balance module. Sideswipe and Bluestreak decided to race. Sideswipe 'knew a shortcut' the shortcut took him off a bridge and he fractured his balance module.
Stomach ache. There was a race between Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, Arcee, Bumblebee, and Smokescreen to see who could eat the most energon treats in five Earth minutes. Bluestreak recorded it. Everyone except Bluestreak wound up feeling sick.
Cracked finger plating. Bulkhead went to a drive in theatre to see IT, despite Optimus telling him not to. He was then so jumpy the next day he swung at Bumblebee when he snuck up behind him, missed, and punched the wall.
Ratchet & Bumblebee headcanons (TFP universe)
• Back on Cybertron, when Bee was still a sparkling training to fight in the war, he got injured a lot. He spent a lot of time in the medical bay and Ratchet assigned himself as Bee's primary care provider.
• Ratchet was the first bot who learned how to communicate with Bee after his voice box was damaged.
• Bumblebee is the only bot who can calm Ratchet down when he's angry or frustrated. Even the only one who can actually make him stop working.*
• Ratchet can never be angry at Bee for long. Because of that (and the point before that), the other 'bots usually hide behind Bee when they make Ratchet angry. (In other words: Someone breaks something Ratch needs and when Ratch finds out, they'll just yell "Bumblebee did it!" and go hide and leave him to the wolves.)
*Side note: After coming to Earth, the circle of beings who can make Ratchet rest willingly expanded to include the kids, and later Smokescreen.
📷@avoid-avoidance said: Dadchet and Raf is a *great* dynamic. I see that clip of Ratchet picking him up from school and going “… you wanna ride with the sirens on?” to try and cheer him up and it’s so 😭☺️ major vibes of like, a dad who’s slightly out-of-touch/lagging behind with what his kid actually considers cool - e.g. a younger Raf *loving* the chaos of riding w/ the sirens vs older Raf finding it a little embarassing - but so clearly being Gruff But Caring Dad still
(it’s also extra funny that the one apprenticed to the town healer is NOT the one Ratchet adopts; he just sees Raf and goes ‘this is the one most likely to use his brain instead of charging in and ultimately making more work for me; this one is My Son Now’
----------
DADchet!!!
i don't know if we've established yet what kind of creature Ratchet is but just imagine - pony centaur !!!!!
Ratchet hates it when people sit on his back, and NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO SIT ON HIS BACK, and he's too tiny anyways, he can't carry a grown person, but.
the kids get themselves into trouble often enough that ratchet at one point has to carry an injured Raf and gently puts him on his back 🥺
Raf, of course, is super respectful and would have NEVER even dreamed of climbing up on ratchet, let alone ask. He probably couldn't believe it the moment he woke up. All like "Oh no im sorry, i'm gonna climb down"
Ratchet: "You better STAY WHERE YOU ARE. You can't even walk and we're not even halfway back at the fortress >:C"
"Ok ;_;! ....... thanks for-"
"Don't mention this to ANYONE >8C"
But after that it just sticks, and Raf has special privileges to be allowed on ratchet's back and its very cute ;V;
and you know at one point we have the scene where raf is sad, and ratchet picks him up. "Wanna gallop for a bit with me ..?"

Dreaming of Home
Megatron has constructed the perfect fantasy to trap Bumblebee in his own processor. After all, if the scout doesn't want to wake up, he won't interfere with the warlord's plans to resurrect himself, either.
Or: How Optimus and Ratchet finally ended up adopting Bumblebee.

Apparently, once in a full moon, I do finish one of my stories.
Nooks & Crevices - Chapter 2
- 5+1 fic of Autobots playing Hide and Seek with a young Bumblebee - a little bit less silly and light-hearted than the first chapter :)
Chapters: 2/6 Wordcount: ~ 6.6k (aka. 12.6 k overall now)
Summary:
Hiding was a skill essential to those growing up on Cybertron during the Civil War. However, for a certain vibrantly yellow sparkling raised by the Autobot High Command, and highly sought after by the Decepticons, being able to stay undetected is even more vital than most. It’s a good thing then that Bumblebee is a natural.
Or: 5 times Bumblebee ‘played’ Hide & Seek with his family and 1 time a Decepticon played with him.
In the second chapter:
Ultra Magnus has been entrusted with Bumblebee's wellbeing during a Decepticon siege on Iacon.
