he deserves all the sparklings in the world, but he's enough of a gentleman not to overwhelm his human with them. Maybe one or two, maybe three if his human really wants another.

But he knows damn well he can't wrangle his team and more than three sparklings at the same time

Here is some crumbs of Red Alert lore:

Red Alert emerged right before the war 'officially' started. Jazz was on a mission when he had Red Alert. Red came out a little early, and he was very skittish around most mechs. He had to leave Cybertron when he was pretty young, so he doesn't really remember much about his home world.

He grew up on a mix of Autobot ships with a handful of other sparklings and younglings. Jazz and Prowl had to move around a lot, so Red struggled to connect to anyone outside of his family.

Red spent a lot of his earlier years being watched over by Blaster, Rewind, and Eject when Jazz and Prowl were gone on missions. Later on, when Steeljaw and Ramhorn emerged, Red Alert watched over them when Blaster and the others were busy.

Red Alert was an adult when the war ended, but growing up with both of his creators constantly being sent on dangerous assignments didn't really help with his anxiety. When he joined the war effort, he felt a little more at ease taking an active role in his family's safety.

Red Alert followed Jazz and Prowl on the Allspark assignment because he didn't want something to happen to them when they were going to be so far away from the rest of the fleet.
