I remembered something, and I wanted to ask: Shockwave has the ability to change the appearance of His body, that is, to apply a kind of disguise. Question: Theoretically speaking, could an elite copy such an ability and turn it into a bot that its body is capable of? Even though it's just one time.
I don't think even the best copy ability could do it as well as Shockwave does.
At it's core, a copy ability is downloading a duplicate of other bot's code. (FAIR WARNING I have a very limited understanding of computer code so don't jump me for this-) For cybertronians (At least in my mind) Code isn't ALL there is to their abilities. Code is what allows their body to do their wacky abilities but without experience, training, understanding they won't be able to execute it nearly as well.
At most the copier would be able to stretch their limbs like Longarm does. Straight up body morphing took Shockwave his whole life of training to master it, so I imagine a copier would most likely turn themselves into a useless noodley mess if they went in blind.
