My only question here is, what level of angst should I expect for the next chapter of Little Numb Insect?
Especially the garbage dump scene, God, that scene hurt me so much in the series, and now reading it from Bee's perspective excites and terrifies me!.

Hi, thank you for the question. ^^
I find it very hard to quantify stuff like that, but I think that chapter 6 is probably the angstiest chapter of the fic? ^^' Though, with the way I've split it up, chapter 7 is pretty much only the last battle, so that might turn out angstier.
There's just so much happening in such a short period of time in season 3. And Bee doesn't really have all that many scenes β especially not light-hearted ones. ^^"
Though I do plan on adding a bit of a more light-hearted stretch to the second half of the chapter. Before we get to the fun things like the Predacon extinction and Ratchet's abduction and so on.
I've actually spent SO much time thinking about the scrapyard scene, though. Because I think it's a very important character beat for Ratchet I definitely wanted to keep it in. But at the same time it also felt really wrong for NLB Ratchet specifically who's been suspicious of Bee for so long now to leave Raf and Bee alone.
In the end, I brainstormed SO many different versions of the scene before I finally felt satisfied with an idea. But I think it turned out great! :3
(Really well, thank you for asking! I've had to take more classes than I was expecting to have left but they've been really chill actually which is nice bc it leaves me lots of time to work on my final paper.)

Considering that I'm already at 6k words and I've barely started transcribing hand-written scenes, I have very little hope for Numb Little Bug chapter 6.
But I think that it's pretty much impossible for chapter 7 to get out of hand like that. Like, that should be the first time since chapter 2 that a chapter actually decides to stick to a word count of roughly 10 k words. (*knock knock knock on wood*)
I think I'll be taking a tumblr pause for a bit. I haven't been online much anyway, but I feel like I've been allowing random fandom discourse to get into my head and it's been discouraging me from writing (honestly, sometimes my brain's a dick). Plus, I've been more tired lately than usual which really isn't quite ideal at all. So, really, a break is in order. Has been in order for a while probably.
I just want to take some time to focus on university (it's the last term of my bachelor), my (mental) health and my fics.
