Hello! Okay, let’s see:

9. What are you good at doing as a player?I am the scribe for my D&D group. I keep notes on places, people, loot, items, XP, etc. My group loves it, and it helps us keep track of where we are and where we’ve been (and who we’re supposed to report back to when we’re sent on missions).

10. Do you ever draw, write, or make any content for your group(s)?Not as of yet. Maybe one of these days. My drawing skills aren’t very good since I rarely draw, but maybe short stories or something. I’ve never considered it before, honestly.

14. Do you prefer dungeon crawlers or story-driven campaigns?Story-driven, definitely. I know some people don’t have the patience for the world-building and interwoven plots; they signed up to fight things, and they want to fight things. I get that, I respect it. But I love being immersed in a world, part of an unfolding story. Maybe it’s my love of books, who knows. But yeah, story-driven for sure.

19. If YOU were in D&D, what would your class and race be?I’m assuming this question is asking if I was legitimately IN the world of D&D, like I woke up one day in an inn with a halfling roommate. In that case, I’d want to be a half-elf bard. No real reason why; that was my first character I played and it was super fun. I like the idea of playing a tune and throwing out a sarcastic remark and wounding a monster with it. (Also, if this kind of idea appeals to you, and you can handle foul language, there’s a book series called “Critical Failures: Caverns and Creatures” by Robert Bevan that’s exactly that; a group of players get sucked into the game world and become their characters. It’s a great read; I’m almost done with Book 2!)

20. Have you ever been a DM? If not, would you want to try?I have never been a DM, I’m still very new to D&D. I started late January 2018 (and then we had like 2 or 3 months where we didn’t play), so I only have like 6 months under my belt (which sounds like a lot but it’s like 18 sessions total). But I love it! And I definitely want to DM one of these days; that’s a lot of what this blog is, getting ideas and advice (and making friends who like the game). But I know I’m not ready for that just yet, so for now I am strictly a player.
