Okay my dnd oneshot characters' official name has been decided!
"Skipper Skipper Skipper" (name is a play on "Major Major Major", from that one military media).
More info about Skipper: their enby, their 5'11", their a marine iguana lizardfolk, their a bard who is with the college of spirits, and their chosen instrument a hurdy gurdy :3 they came from a very militaristic family, hense why they have the name that they do, but they were disowned/treated like a disappointment by their family when they chose the art of music over the art of war. They were also viewed by their whole village as being cursed, due to the whole "being a conduit for spirits and being able to communicate with/summon them" which the village saw as an ill omen. A nickname for Skipper spread throughout the tegion as well - they called them "The Reef Reaper". Little did they know though, Skipper was the only thing keeping horrible things from the darkness at bay and thus keeping everyone safe. So once they were banished and no longer around, the town was ravanged by ghouls and spirits near instantly; and everyone was killed. Leaving Skipper as the sole survivor of their village, and with a lot of guilt in their heart for not being able to save anyone in the end. no matter how hard they tried and pleaded. And with false exaggerated rumors spreading in other villages that Skipper had done it themselves, out of revenge or true evilness.
Their main role in the crew is being a poet laureate/record keeper (+ keeping up crew moral with entertainment). Their both lizards but their friend is a normal tiny lizard (11 in tall) who was magically granted sentience and likes to ride on people's shoulders (especially Skipper's), treating people like they're mounts. And he is a bit of a kleptomaniac. Skipper's reason for joining the crew is still currently undecided as of right now.

Me and some friends are planning a pirate themed dnd oneshot (very excited) and of course I would choose the oddest combos for my character. Their a "marine iguana" type of lizardfolk, and a bard - one who uses the hurdy gurdy instrument ! Mainly cuz i thought it sounded hauntingly beautiful, and it's a bit of an obscure instrument.. which, I think, makes it way more fun to visualize
One thing that im struggling with for this however, is deciding on a name for the character.... i didnt think it would be this difficult 😭
