You guys are gonna probably be dealing with these posts for at least a few weeks cause I don't plan on breaking my posting schedule too much if at all even in the catch up. Though who know's maybe I'll force the issue because I wanna get to show you newer things.
This is another attack I did in my 72 hour lightning round for artfight. Every single character I drew for the lightning round and a hold on me in a way that I couldn't see ending the event without drawing them. This is Aster Willowbranch who belongs to KayeChi who I found via Bluesky (Which seems to be the place I find most of the artists I attacks. That and Tiktok)
Aster is a warlock who has a massive crush on her patron and I knew I had to draw her from those facts alone. That and my massive love of fairies. I didn't have the time to focus on a full scene like I would have loved but just getting to draw her at all was a delight. I especially loved working on her hair which seems to be my favorite part of any of my drawings.
This portrait was such a fun piece to draw and I'm so gonna miss Artfight now that it's over. But that does also open me up to my new goal. Opening my commissions over on Ko-Fi. I have plenty of options I've made for preset plans but I'm also open to a freestyle piece where we workout the best process for you. don't leave your warlocks unattended
Greet your Audience, Deimos. (Alternate title: The Truth Hurts) In this drawing I wanted to tackle the contrast in how the dark elf warlock Deimos is viewed.
On the Material Plane ( = the 'normal world') Deimos is respected and celebrated, him being one of the famous heroes of the Grey Wardens. (He's also just having so much fun travelling the world with these heroic friends! :D) However, in the Nine Hells when he's with his warlock patron Vannatir it's a completely different situation. Being loved by an archdevil has thankfully also been fruitful: giving Deimos the magic powers he always wanted.
Extra: I found this drawing difficult to finish. I would've usually turned this drawing around. Have the foreground be the usually confident Deimos, while in the background the other side of his warlock pact is secretly shown. But now I've done it the other way around. The warlock pact side IS the foreground here. And I'm not sure yet if I like the finished result that way. But I'm proud I finished it anyway! And I hope this drawing at least does communicate the contrast that I wanted to show.
Received as an unexpected gift the miniature of my warlock yesterday!
She is beautifu and I can't wait to see her fully painted with that bloody red moon behind her and her long black dress.
