A Chilly Day
It feels like the cold weather is finally here and this gives me a chance to wear knits and layer clothes - what’s not to like?
I’m wearing an unusual Barbour - one that was specifically made for The Armoury in Hong Kong so it’s not the usual waxed cotton. This one is a glen plaid woolen fabric Barbour Beaufort and is an SL which is a slimmer style originally made for the Japanese market.
I thought I would switch things up a little today by wearing a chunky cardigan underneath. The cardigan is by Inverallan and is made of indigo-dyed cotton. Nonetheless, it’s heavy and almost feels like I’m wearing menswear chainmail. The buttons are made of unsealed wood and have a little blue tinge to them.
The boots are also a little different in that they’re jodphurs and have an olive leather strap. The colour of the suede complements the green of the trousers and the blue in the top half. I’ve kept the colour of the trousers going with some green socks as well.
