Dear diary,

Today I made a Tumblr account because apparently consuming media wasn't enough. Now I need to document it too.

I'm not entirely sure what belongs here yet...

Thoughts about magazines I couldn't set down, songs I can't stop listening to, films that leave me staring at the credits wondering 'what the heck did I just watched and when can I watch it again?!' Articles, essays, poetry, paintings, podcasts, fashion, theatre- just about everything and anything that happens to linger in my mind for longer than a New York minute.

A place to keep track of what I'm consuming, what I'm loving, what I'm questioning, and what conclusions I happen to come to in the middle of showering.

But I also hope it becomes a conversation.

Filled with recommendations, disagreements, discussions, other peoples favourites that might become my own. I hope I'm challenged. I hope I change my mind about things. I hope I'm introduced to things I never would have found on my own

This week, I've been getting into The Silt Verses. It's set in an alt-world where belief spawns animistic gods... everywhere. And all of them are weird and fucked-up. Here's the synopsis for Season 1:

Carpenter and Faulkner, two worshippers of an outlawed god, travel up the length of their deity’s great black river, searching for holy revelations amongst the reeds and the wetlands.

As their pilgrimage lengthens and the river’s mysteries deepen, the two acolytes find themselves under threat from a police manhunt, but also come into conflict with the weirder gods that have flourished in these forgotten rural territories.

This is a world where divine intervention takes place through prayer-markings scratched into stumping-posts, and offerings are left squirming to die in the flats of the delta.

This is a world of ritual, and hidden language, and sacrifice.

This is folk horror, and fantasy, and a dark road trip into the depths of unusual faith.

Current location: In my bed.

Relationship status: Mentally dating a hot British Devil.

Last movie: It has been such a long time since I last timed watched any kind of movie...uuuh, I think the last one was The Addams Family (2019)

Currently working on: Ino Yamanaka drawing, Frieren AMV, and Bleach fanfiction about Senjumaru, Yachiru Unohana, and two little genius brats and one wild one.
