Ingredients: 1 cup butter, melted. 1 cup quick oats. 1 cup all-purpose flour. 3/4 cup packed brown sugar. 1/2 teaspoon baking soda. 1/4 teaspoon salt. 1 cup caramel bits. 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips. 1/4 cup chopped pecans.
Instructions: Preheat your oven to 350F 175C and line a 9x9-inch baking pan with parchment paper. In a bowl, combine the melted butter, quick oats, all-purpose flour, brown sugar, baking soda, and salt. Mix well to form a crumbly mixture. Press half of the crumbly mixture into the prepared baking pan to form an even layer. Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 10 minutes. Remove the crust from the oven and sprinkle the caramel bits, chocolate chips, and chopped pecans evenly over the crust. Crumble the remaining oat mixture over the caramel-chocolate layer. Return the pan to the oven and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, until the top is golden brown. Once baked, remove the pan from the oven and allow the cookies to cool completely in the pan. Once cooled, use the parchment paper to lift the cookies out of the pan. Place them on a cutting board and cut into squares. Enjoy these delicious Caramelita Cookies!
