I have to admit that when I read Scarlet, I liked Cinder's relationship with Thorne (their friendship) because it made K jealous, but MM didn't focus on that.
What would have happened if they had actually been "something more"? But in the end, they both decided to be friends and each went off with someone else (Cinder and K) (Thorne with Cress).
What scenes would you have liked to see between the two of them to make a certain emperor jealous?
i mean, there are plenty of people who love cinwell. i’m also intrigued by it too. to say that the relationship should only happen to make kai jealous is throwing thorne’s out the window. cinwell has many alluring parts to eat, and i’m sure someone can explain them better than i can.
mm probably made the wise choice not making a love triangle because she already had a lot on her plate, especially in winter, and balancing all that could make the plot feel condensed and rushed. still, i love a good jealousy scene. it would’ve been funny seeing kai pout in a corner while watching thorne and cinder interact.
