Indulge in the delightful combination of rich chocolate macarons filled with creamy dulce de leche. These sweet treats are perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients: 150g almond flour. 150g powdered sugar. 30g unsweetened cocoa powder. 3 large egg whites. 50g granulated sugar. 1/4 tsp cream of tartar. 1/2 cup dulce de leche for filling.
Instructions: Mix powdered sugar, cocoa powder, and almond flour together by sieving. Put aside. Beat the egg whites in a different bowl until frothy. Continue beating after adding the cream of tartar. While beating, gradually add the granulated sugar and beat until stiff, glossy peaks form. Till just combined, gently fold the almond flour mixture into the egg white mixture. Take care not to blend too much. Spoon the macaron batter into a bag fitted with a round tip for piping. Pipe tiny circles onto a parchment paper-lined baking sheet. To allow for spreading, leave space between each macaron. To release air bubbles, tap the baking sheet a few times on the counter. To form a skin on top, let the macarons sit at room temperature for approximately half an hour. Set the oven temperature to 300F 150C. Bake for 15 to 18 minutes, or until the macarons come off the parchment paper easily. Take them out of the oven and leave them on the baking sheet to cool completely. After cooling, sandwich one macaron with another by spreading dulce de leche on the flat side of each. Proceed with the leftover macarons. Enjoy your chocolate Dulce de Leche Macarons after serving!
