That’s a “regular” cabbage on the left, and a Savoy cabbage on the right. I read a trick about freezing the cabbage whole, then thawing it, as an alternative to steaming it to separate the individual leaves for stuffed cabbage. Let’s see how the experiment works out! Here's something fun for your #EclipseParty #eclipse2017 : Vegan Papas Rellenas, or Cuban Stuffed Potatoes. Instead of ground beef, I used mashed black beans (from the can - sshhhhh!), mixed with the traditional Cuban spices. Of course, I bumped up the potatoes with some black truffle salt, but you don't have to. Plain salt will do. For extra crunch, use panko bread crumbs for the coating.
