Indulge in the nostalgia of these classic homemade Oreos made with love by Mama. These rich, chocolatey cookies are sure to satisfy your sweet cravings and bring back cherished memories.
Ingredients: 1 cup unsalted butter, softened. 1 cup granulated sugar. 1 large egg. 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract. 2 cups all-purpose flour. 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder. 1 teaspoon baking soda. 1/4 teaspoon salt. 1/2 cup powdered sugar for coating.
Instructions: Warm the oven up to 350F 175C and put parchment paper on a baking sheet. Melt the butter and mix it with the sugar in a large bowl until the mixture is smooth. Mix the egg and vanilla extract into the bowl until everything is well mixed. All-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt should all be mixed together in a different bowl using a whisk. Mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients one at a time until a dough forms. Roll out small pieces of dough into balls that are 1 inch across. Leave some space between the dough balls when you put them on the baking sheet that has been prepared. You can gently flatten each dough ball with your hand or a glass with a flat bottom. Put the cookies in an oven that is already hot for 8 to 10 minutes. After taking the cookies out of the oven, let them cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheet before moving them to a wire rack to cool all the way down. Cover half of the cookies with powdered sugar after they are cool. To make homemade Oreos, put one cookie covered in powdered sugar between two plain cookies. Serve and have fun!
