happy sukkot everyone
Sukkot plaque from the collection of the Museum of Ethnography. The item is from Sopronkeresztúr, from the early 20th century.
The fact that Hanukkah is the most famous and "important" jewish holiday in goy perspective is so upsetting to me bc it disrespects our most important holidays (rosh hashana, Kippur, Passover) and our most fun holidays (sukkot and purim). Like honestly Hanukkah is nice but is it better then the getting drunk eating sweets dressing up holiday
Sukkot is such a special holiday with its unique tradition of building and dwelling in a sukkah, it was one of my favorite holidays growing up for that reason. It connects us to nature, the harvest, and the journey of our ancestors through the wilderness.
May this Sukkot bring you happiness, health, love, and blessings of the harvest.
Chag Sukkot Sameach 🌾🍋

It’s so incredibly surreal that it has been nearly two years since October 7th. The day that changed the lives of every Jew in the world. The day that the world decided “actually, hating Jews is okay again as long as they’re Zionists”. It has been a trying time for all of us.
The fact that the second anniversary of the most bloody massacre of Jews since the Holocaust falls out this year on Sukkot is interesting. We want to mourn such a fresh wound, yet it’s supposed to be a happy day. I for one know I’ll likely be feeling mixed tomorrow. However, I also want to enjoy this chag for all those that can no longer do so. I want to look through the schach of my family’s sukkah and see the stars. I want to eat warm food and sing. All for those that are no longer with us because tragedy struck. May all of us take the time we need to grieve, but also take the time to enjoy this happy chag.
Chag Sameach, my shalomies. May all of your sukkot be like a shining star in this tide of darkness we’re facing together.
The jewish grind never stops🔥✡️💪 (it's the third holiday in three weeks)
