“Five Kingston Owners Join Red And White Store Organization,” Kingston Whig-Standard. June 8, 1932. Page 11. --- Have Been Remodelled and Enlarged, Will Be Painted Uniform Color - Will Retain Personal Touch ---- Five Kingston grocery stores enter the Red & White organization this week, four being well known and old established premises, and the fifth is an entirely new store. The five P. H. Baker, Johnson and Frontenac Street; Louis M. Gordo, Montreal and Bay street; W. G. Hamilton, Princess and Victoria streets; John M. Morton, 341 Princess Street, and the fifth store at 57 Brock Street, former Termyk Belmont Restaurant, just one door below Cooke’s Grocery.

During the past few weeks these stores have been all remodelled, enlarged in some cases, and equipped with new shelves, and other necessary appearances. They are painted a bright red on the outside and will all carry the ‘Red & White Stores’ name-plate in large letters. Inside they are finished in white with black trimming, giving them a remarkably smart and clean appearance.
