Nojima
With the closing days of winter, we took a Sunday drive for a sushi lunch to Nojima on the coast.
I'm dedicating this image to Nojima and his works that he has done for us, especially for the story of ff7. Without him, there wouldnt be the FF7 we love today. Happy birthday, Nojima!
Inspiration from Nojima's book: On the Way to a Smile-- Chapter Nanaki.
Kazushige Nojima, Sonic, and Zack wish you a Happy Valentines Day

WEP author isn’t a bigot
Yes, you hear me. There’s a lot of misinformation regarding the creator of Wonder Egg, that he his apparently a lesbophobe and a transphobe. After episode 10, I honestly couldn’t believe that someone who wrote such a positive trans rep could possibly be that kind of bigot, so I dig up.
The reason why he’s accused of lesbophobia was because of a badly translated interview that is 2 years old regarding another project he made. The interview was specifically about that project and wasn’t meant to be lesbophobic.
About the transphobic accusation, that one was really odd to me given WEP ep 10. Some people literally dig up a 10 years old manga he wrote to prove he was an awful bigoted transphobe and posted a few pages, removing certain from the scene, to paint the manga in a bad light as if it was actively transphobic. The manga in question is Sunu Sumu Muriku no Koibito. The pages I saw looked really taken out of context so I decided to read the damn manga, and guess what? It was all bullshit. There was no transphobia in it. You can read it for yourself, it’s only 6 chapters long. A lot of people assume the manga is transphobic because of the “misgendering” but that’s 100% a translation issue, given pronouns dont work the same way in Japanese. That’s the reason why, whenever a character’s gender is unknown, translators often end up picking a gender for translation sake, because they cant tell just from Japanese text. The fact Nono, the trans girl, is refer as “he” is on the translator only, not the author. Like heck, sometimes she was refered as he and then she within the same page and ever the same text bubble! Thats clearly a translation issue.
A certain twitter user posted 4 pages of a much longer scene to paint the scene as transphobic, but the whole context what the trans girl’s friends trying to convince the entire school to let her wear a female uniform to eleviate her dysphoria, and then right after collected enough money to pay for her gender reassinment surgery. The manga used terminology of its time but it was still very accurate with trans experience and struggle with dysphoria. For its time, especially in Japan, it was a progressive manga.
Painting WEP author as some horrible bigot is just wrong and misinformed. Instead of jumping to conclusion, do your own research. Don’t assume someone who created a show that is clearly trans friendly is actually a bigot because of some out of context stuff, it doesn’t make sense. And even if in the past he might have had bigoted opinions, people can change. If you dig up stuff I said barely 2 years ago out of context you could easily paint me as awful too. Give people the benefit of the doubt and take the time to research because spreading harmful misinformation about people that could be your ally.
You can"t denied this is Clouds story. Aerith his Heroine.
Meanwhile Tifa just a Cloud childhood's friend (second choices, free to choose)
Tifa falls under the same category as Rikku, Iris Amicitia and another best/friend of ff heroes.
Interesting snippets from 'Traces of Two Pasts' the new FF7 Novella from Nojima
“あっためていたネタだけどえあてぃ小説で触れられたから言う ※ネタバレあり https://t.co/gVHUP9VxDl”
I have seen some snippets getting wrongly translated and being passed on as the correct translation. I have asked my friends to translate this one snippet correctly, apparently:
1. Cloud Strife's hero worship to Sephiroth is because of the lack of a father figure. He sees Sephiroth as a father figure (!!!)
2. Cloud thinks Tifa's mom is more beautiful than Sephiroth..LOL... okay, so I've seen mistranslation for this part, saying that Tifa thinks Cloud is more beautiful than Seph..no it's actually Cloud being fond of Tifa's mom and finds her beautiful.
So Cloud did think Sephiroth was beautiful up until he sees Tifa's mom, huh?😁 Is this some kind of confirmation that he's a bi? Readers decide I guess.
