#card interpretation

What I immediately think when I see one of these cards in LOVE readings:

Two of cups opening the reading: a bond or mutual feelings still exists between the 2 people involved.

Two of swords: this gives me the "The road is closed" vibe, someone can't go further down that road because the other person won't allow it/ being closed off and not sharing feelings or thoughts/ not knowing what to think in a situation. Depending on the context, it also indicates 2 people maintaining a precarious balance in their communication; they don't agree on everything but they try not to piss the other off.

Three of cups opening the reading: a 3rd party interference/ worrying about the other person seeing someone else.

Three of swords: pain, simple like that/ separation/ the mind trying to make sense of the feelings.

Five of swords: there's been a fight and the client is hoping for reconciliation/ someone has to accept that they can't get what they want for the moment*.

Five of pentacles: someone feels alone, rejected, or neglected/ in general, a feeling of lack in the relationship is indicated.

Seven of pentacles: this is a waiting period/ someone is reconsidering the past to know how to move forward/ something is changing for the couple.

Seven of swords: someone is hiding something or is not telling the whole truth/ mistrust.

Eight of cups: someone walked away or put distance to sort out their emotions/ parting (may not be definitive)*.

Eight of swords: someone is stuck in their own mind/ they don't see how their own thoughts play a part in how they feel about the situation.

Knight of wands: an on-and-off relationship/ someone keeps running and coming back (sometimes also the Knight of cups shows this, even though the first does so physically, even sexually, in my opinion, and the second is about everchanging emotions).

*This may not be the end unless The Tower or other cards show up to indicate a clear breakup.

When the question is: Will they reach out?

Good cards to see:

First of all, the Six of swords: good news, you'll receive a message (and usually very soon)/ talking, seeing things from a higher (and cooler) perspective, reconciliation.

Successful combinations are the Six of pentacles + Knight of cups, which means seeking a soft and balanced interaction. More tricky but overall positive is the pair Justice + Lovers: the couple will communicate effectively to bring the situation back to balance/ truth and honesty about feelings will be on the forefront/ everyone will get what they deserve.

King of swords: your person will tell you the truth (but they won't be emotional unless a card like the Knight of cups indicates that they can soften their approach).

The Magician + Page of cups or Ten of cups: your partner will communicate with you around emotions and may come off as flirty or sweet, but they'll know how to do the talking/ uttering words that bring fulfillment and satisfaction.

Two of pentacles + the pages or the Eight of wands: making conversation/ sending messages, emails, or postcards.

I see all the pages as positive but there are differences:

Page of pentacles: communication won't be straightforward, they will take baby steps towards you/ their communication will be mundane/ they may ask you about something that they are curious about, just to (re)ignite the conversation.

Page of swords: they will be inquisitive and may ask something like "Where the he** have you been?" but cutely, just to make you know that they missed you/ they will appear defensive or they will be a little bit cutting but in a playful way, I think this is much different than the edgy manner of a Knight of swords. I think the Page of swords is very good at joking and playing with words.

Page of wands: they may ask you out directly, suggest that you do something together, or invite you to join them in an activity.

Minor Arcana. Astrological association: SUN IN CAPRICORN. 3rd decan of CAPRICORN (10 January-20 January).

Meaning: Sun in Capricorn teaches us about expressing our creativity in a disciplined way.

Keywords: financial stability/ investments/ common sense/ sound boundaries/ solid foundation/ clinging/ rigidity/ chastity/ avarice.

General message: learn to trust your foundation enough to not fear opening up to change & giving to others.

Sentence: "Nothing ventured, nothing gained"

Four of pentacles as a person in a tarot reading

Has characteristics of the Devil (Capricorn) + the Sun (Sun).

Disciplined but inflexible/ needs to stay in control all the time/ overly concerned with "how things look" (also physically)/ financially conservative/ hoarder/ not as rich as they seem/ protective of what they have.

In my experience, can indicate someone that has moved far from home & family to pursue their goal, or start a business on their own.

Four of pentacles career reading

Work consolidation (but not increase)/ working hard to gain financial success (but ignoring the heart)/ business spirit (but it's only the beginning)/ a steady monetary accumulation.

Money: refusing to spend/ hoarding items & never letting anything go/ greed/ covetousness of money.

As an obstacle: pessimism stands in the way of your progress.

Four of pentacles in love readings

The sacrifice of one's heart desire to achieve a sense of security/ control/ insecurity/ guarding one's heart/ SO won't reveal their feelings, even if you do (+ 2 of swords)/ inability to let SO go/ obsession/ you're holding on but they are not interested/ sexual issues/ a bond based on practicality rather than passion & sex.

Also: stability, comfort/ being reliable (look at the surrounding cards to see if the relationship is healthy: for example, if there's the Devil, then it's not).

Advice: it is time to loosen up & let SO in. Reversed: learn to say no & have firm boundaries.

Four of pentacles & body issues

Body discomfort/ lack of self-confidence/ being so anxious about your appearance that it affects negatively a relationship or interaction.

Also: showing off/ focusing on one's (own) attractiveness at the expense of true emotional bonding.

Four of pentacles as advice

Minor Arcana. Astrological association: MARS IN CAPRICORN. 2nd decan of CAPRICORN (31 December-9 January).

Meaning: Mars is exalted in Capricorn; it reminds us that it's time for careful action & brings a focus on planning.

Keywords: mastery of a skill/ promising work/ finding purpose in life/ financial improvement/ gaining employment.

General message: anything is possible through hard work.

Sentence: "Success comes through hard work"

Three of pentacles as a person in a tarot reading

Has characteristics of the Devil (Capricorn) + the Tower (Mars).

Patient in material undertakings/ master of strategy/ wants to win at all costs/ has the appetite to climb/ makes an effort to be a team player/ ambitious/ productive/ motivated.

Three of pentacles in career readings

The card ensures financial well-being/ recognition for services rendered/ to obtain a degree, a license/ the 1st phase has been reached, but you have still some way to go to the goal/ early success/ initial growth/ financial backing, financial increase.

Time to make use of knowledge gained in a practical way/ factory in full-production mode/ high-quality work/ a group of people, a community of people who work together towards the same goal.

Also: teaching/ lecturing/ humanitarian work.

Reversed: too much focus on the outcome/ obsession with work/ you lost joy in the process.

Three of pentacles in health-related readings

Awareness of one's body & desire to improve the physical condition/ building strength & prowess (training)/ regular physical activity/ pursuing a balanced lifestyle/ consulting a top specialist in a certain field.

Three of pentacles in love/relationship readings

Maturation of a personal relationship/ reaching the next stage/ putting the effort, being committed/ feeling like a team/ working on the home, joint couple projects.

Also: when love went wrong, to drown one's sorrows in work.

For singles: a new love is met through a shared group of friends or at work.

Three of pentacles as advice

Make your mark on the world/ channel your energies into something tangible/ align your mind-body-heart in a single direction/ you're laying the foundation of your future success, plan well/ if you put enough energy at this stage, you can expect results.

How I interpret it🔎

I see the tower in a lot of different ways, and I think it gets a bad reputation for being the indicator of a bad event in a reason. For me, the meaning shifts based on the type of reading I’m doing and the context of the cards around it. That’s true for every card but I pay special attention to it in major arcana!

💼Career: Losing a job, a busy season

🏠Family: A fight that needs to happen, tension breaking

🫶Friendships: Paths growing apart, long term friends

🗺️General: A surprising event, clarity, something standing strong or ending after standing strong for a long time

🧘Self: Clearing out negative energy, seeing yourself differently

Been hoping for career progress all year, still stuck in my parts runner job.

Overhand shuffled and the first 2 cards fell out together, then the 3rd with a bit more shuffling. It was too dark to read, so moved everything downstairs to look up meanings.

5 of Swords - yup, ready to quit as soon as I have another job lined up. But I'm trying to get in the union apprenticeship program, so can't swap to another union shop bc I'm not in yet & not sure where else to go. Am on the helper wait list, but it's not moving at the moment
