Summary: Bruce's habit of collecting strays is not limited by dimension.
Comments: This was an epic series that I devoured. Angst, family feels, special shout out to good rep for Asexual!Tim Drake.
It starts with Bruce essentially kidnapping Tim and taking him to his dimension until he’s healthy and can manage his depression, a fact made easy as there’s no Tim in his. Similarities between universes mean that Bruce can rescue a Jason and Damian from the League early, and fend off the bad blood between the three of them. The whole Batfam rallies around protecting Tim and making sure he eats.
This fic centers around building a batfam around interdimensional funsies. Tim’s original Bruce is possessive, and Tim’s status as a WE’s majority shareholder turns his ‘death’ in a problem for the original Waynes. Tim’s knowledge and loose morals make him an enemy of Superman, who is not a good guy in this series, and Gun Batman just can’t leave Tim alone.
There’s so much here that just amazing. Tim discovering he’s gay, and then ace is delightful. Connor is a jem, as is Jason declaring that even though he and Tim are the same age Jason’s the older brother. How all the little details are very well thought out, from the first scene to the last scene ❤️❤️
This is an absolutely stunning series.
Yknow that scene in Compression ( by @calamityjimao3 ) where Tim is drugged and dolled up by the evil fascist future titans so that he looks like he's been badly assaulted? Mm yeah I couldn't stop thinking about it earlier this week and I just got a new chromebook so...

The world building is wonderful, the writing is amazing, and I am SO INVESTED in this story! The tone does bounce around - it gets really dark at some points in ways that the first chapters do not prepare you for. Also, the gen parts get more attention than the shippy ones - Tim gets strong relationships with a LOT of other characters and I love them all! The series is LONG, but each part gets a very satisfying conclusion. (Finally: designated villains, which includes a number of heroes, undergo some character bashing in future parts. If you have a fave you couldn't handle seeing interpreted in that way, you can ask for more info.)
