Departure
@psychic-mediocrity
Eventually they found lower ground with a brand new layout. The woodland âresidentsâ from before stopped chasing them long ago and now they found themselves climbing downward into an area that wasnât surrounded by giant trees - who wouldâve thought? Noboru thought there was no end to them, but now they wound up in a valley with far more flowers and plants than before. It was almost like a garden.
Still a little dazed from their previous encounter, he pulled the edge of his shirt up to his face and wiped the beads of sweat that pelted his face.
When he looked back at Zal, it was clear the color had drained from it the moment he realized something.
âZal... if we havenât found Davide by now, then thereâs no way heâs still here.â Blast it. His cellphone battery died ages ago and it was useless now. Remembering the advice Doctor Gara gave, the words she relayed. Stressed enough as it were and no way willing to deal with whatever having metal would attract, the blonde chucked it outward and turned back to her. Tears were streaming down his face, his shoulders numb as he fought back the feelings.
âWeâre running out of time! Whatâs going to happen to us if we donât make it back to the city?!â
Fragmentation Event starter for @disgracxdâ.
Who knows how, but somehow Judd had found himself in yet another predicament. This time, heâd managed to get himself stuck high up on one of the districtâs electricity-generating windmills. How he managed that, not even heâs sure! One moment he was running away from ground-restricted PokĂ©mon, the next moment he was high up on the turbine. Stuck up on the turbine, helplessly looking down over the district below and lets out a displeased yowl. Sure the PokĂ©mon had abandoned their chase, but now he was stuck! Normally, he might just teleport away, but that didnât seem to be an option in this outer district.
Flesh felt like it had been boiled and pulled with sharp objects dug deep into their muscles. The pain theyâd grown so familiar with festered with each loud snap and twist of realigning bones, their hoarse voice cracking into silence with each howl shrieked into the city streets.
Theyâd become too stressed--too angry to keep fighting it back. No matter how hard they tried, no matter how hard they swallowed it down, it always found a way to scrape itself to the surface and regain control.
Thank the unforgiving Gods theyâd managed to crash into an alleyway, hiding themselves against knocked over trash cans, scraping dirtied, chewed up nails along reddening skin. Green veins bulged along their left arm, the first sign of their horrific transformation. It wasnât long before everything else about them had contorted. Their voice, deepened, groaning, desperate to seek refuge from the tremendous amount of pain. It ends with a howl, something much similar to a war cry, but as a scream that rang along the streets of Hive City.
Itâs words, unintelligible at best, an unholy language at worst, rumbled inside the alleyway as it stumbled and crashed against cold brick walls, breathing frantically.
The instant it finds itâs way back into the streets is the moment they scream at the first being whom became unlucky enough to catch itâs eyes.
â D'LESH TUN IKAAARRGGHHHH! â
@ingoldententâ
âWatch out!!â
   The screeches of the city's latest grotesques inhabitants were suddenly matched with protestant cries of Lucas. Wherever the kid went a colorful show was sure to follow. With each wave of his hand striking array of lights flew and each step was light, swift; completely unlike his former PSI-less self.
   Unfathomable adrenaline cheered the boy on to test his sudden outbreak of power even further and the wraiths were ironically perfect and necessary targets.Â
   As he fought on the gloom of situation became ever more apparent. How could this all be happening? The hellscape the city had become? His powers? These... These things?! None of it made sense. It was frustrating, angering, and yet the site of all these creatures pushed such thoughts to the back of his mind. He could mentally drag the scientists when all this was all over; for now he found himself running towards one of the horrid beasts; running on pure, unfortunately selfless, instinct.
   Soon he found himself between a stranger and a wraith. A rock and hard place so to say, and boy did he feel it. His concentration slowly drifted, his head began to throb ever so slightly. He fought too much too quickly. All he could do was shield himself and brace for his next attack.Â
   His palm rose up to the quick creatures racing toward them and though his gaze remained forward his real attention was to the man at his back. Admittedly he had acted brashly, he had no idea who this was, what he was doing or if he had powers of his own yet he could not idly stand by, not if there was any chance, any chance of all, something bad could happen...
   âA-are you okay?!â His voice was laced with concern; it quivered, each word becoming more and more strained as he focused his energy. âUgh! T-there's no escape from these things...!â

@instinctivedestruction
Sunny winced at the bubbling pain in his insides, the instantly recognizable call of hunger. Being in this city for so long really must have made him soft, if heâd forgotten the feeling while stripped of his powers and the desperate hunger that fueled them. Heâd honestly rather not show this in polite society-- if there was any polite society left in the chaos. Better to just find some beast to curb his appetite.Â
There, that one would do. It was terribly gross, but at least no person was here to see him pay it any mind. Confidently, he reached out a lock of hair to snatch the Shambler.
Well this sucks.
@disgracxd
The first step Scott took outside was to inspect the commotion that seemed to come from every direction, and now that he was out, he could definitely see why.Â
He was about to head back inside when the crowd of people shifted, sending him off the sidewalk and down into the street where even more people seemed to panic. Okay. Not good. He doesnât know where he is, and thereâs monsters everywhere...he really hoped this was a dream.Â
In fact, just to make sure, he turned to the nearest person with a wide eyed look on his features.
âI need you to hit me in the face as hard as you can!â
themagehero wants a starter!  The funny thing about water clogged ears was oneâs heartbeat was so much more potent to listen to than anything else. Barry suffered just that, shuddering from the unyielding chill of air. If he would just breathe, he could finally receive at least twenty percent oxygen. Still befuddled how he could breathe in the bottom of the sea in the first place, he could at least be sure there wasnât as much to inhale if any at all.  That...that was a test? Whatâs going on? I canât...I gotta MOVE! Desperate and unknowing of what he should do, Barry clutched his hammering chest, observed by the hardened gaze of his glowing partner pokĂ©mon. Lupler's form was restoring itself, but at the cost of seeing his master shatter to pieces. Predatory, distorted beings craved to corrupt the boy, exterminating the land in their wake, but they werenât anything like the pokĂ©mon in his world. They had the same foreboding despair as Giratina. The eerie collapse of Lucas to his signature Shadow Force flashed with a vengeance. The image became blank and empty, devastating the frozen boy. He couldnât even twitch!
  Snap out of it! Go! GO! Stop shaking and RUN! Lupler cried out for Barry, but it was as if he didnât even hear. Narrowing his eyes, the emperor pokĂ©mon leaped to his trainerâs rescue, his wings taking after a pavise shield as he scarcely avoided the sharp, filthy claws of the wraith.  Finally remembering how to breathe, Barry coughed violently and allowed the empoleonâs sleek wing to protectively shield him as he put himself back together. âTh--thank you, L--Lupler! Arceus, thereâs so many of them! Their claws are ravaging everything! Please donât let them touch you!â
 Something was rattling, and it wasnât just his nerves. The spheres strapped to his belt were quivering with vigor. Barry punched the button in the center of a pokĂ©ball, causing the shrunken device to swell with an electronic breedle. Lupler moved in a constant march that resembled nothing of his backwards fleeing as a clumsy little piplup. No, in fact, he was holding his own just as urgently as Rayler or Crossler would! Lupler trills imposingly, his cry soon pursued by another comrade.  The thrum of an engine roars, but the penguin doesnât rest on his laurels yet. Barry was still immobilized by fear, and needed him to stay focused.
