It was hard to pay much attention to pay his work when it was going well. Just a lot of staring at footage on a screen-- even if he went out into the main floor to look out in person, he couldn’t shake the feeling of bored frustration. Still, his feelers could reach the door, and he could feel someone entering clearly. He bolted upright, completely unready to answer to one of the managers. Shit.

          “ If they have the ability to take people from their worlds, I’d imagine that it’s in their power to make the weather bearable for its inhabitants.  ”    ⸻ Fingers tug at his robes as his chest heaves in time with the other hand’s fanning motion; while it is partly his fault in the blistering heat  ( the fleece turtleneck and nearly all black attire has undoubtedly added to it )  but he finds himself griping about it nonetheless.

Was that singing she heard in the distance?

The voice wasn’t all that similar to Azura, but it reminded Elise of her elder sister. She wondered if the songstress was alright and whether or not she was in the city. The more the song continued, the more the princess began to miss her siblings. Still, curious as ever, Elise decided to investigate and see where the singing was coming from.

After a few turns here and there, the source was found. It was a girl, with hair as white as snow, singing to herself. As she listened to her, Elise found that she had a rather lovely voice, almost as lovely as Azura’s own voice and once she was done with the song, the young princess clapped to get her attention.
