Yang stared ahead, wondering if exploring the caverns ahead would even be worth her time. She had equipped herself with a dagger and pirate-like sword from her last adventure to Volaat Island. Seeing a dinosaur up close and personal was nothing short of terrifying, yet she liked the adrenaline. 

She would always pride herself on taking risks. 

Looking into the darker parts of the cave, she could see a faint glittering in the distance. Blinking rapidly, it took all of her being not to dive into another adventure without thinking of the consequences that may follow. For all she knew, there was a giant Dinosaur trying to lure in unsuspecting prey with all of its shiny rocks. Huffing, she decided to search the outside to see if maybe she could find some items to create a torch. Without her semblance, she didn’t have much to go off of. The leftover flint rested in her pocket, but she wasn’t about to waste it all in one go. She had lucked out last time, as the explosive boy lit just about every fire with his hands. What did he call it? She supposed it was similar to semblances anyways, just a different name. 

Hearing the ground shake, she knew that another giant dino was headed in her direction. She had already come face to face with one and narrowly avoided an altercation. Despite the cool story it would be, Yang basically had no defense as her aura was limited. Creeping to the right of the caverns opening, she spotted a very chunky braid. A braid that could only belong to one person, capable of its upkeep. 

“Weiss?!” She hollered, darting towards the girl, forgetting about the giant creature that lurked not too far from them. “Weiss is that you?”

The first step Scott took outside was to inspect the commotion that seemed to come from every direction, and now that he was out, he could definitely see why. 

He was about to head back inside when the crowd of people shifted, sending him off the sidewalk and down into the street where even more people seemed to panic. Okay. Not good. He doesn’t know where he is, and there’s monsters everywhere...he really hoped this was a dream. 

In fact, just to make sure, he turned to the nearest person with a wide eyed look on his features.

Illyana had never been able to see Genosha before Cassandra Nova had razed it. But she'd heard stories and seen pictures of the glistening water in its bay. This Sea of Nectar she found herself in seemed to rival her image of it. As she cast her eyes out from the train she was in and across the ocean, she saw all manner of colors. It was gorgeous, an island paradise. Almost, just almost, enough to break her of the melancholy that had settled in.

But not quite enough. Depression hung over her as she departed. As a very brightly colord bird-woman approached her and handed her all manner of touristy pamphlets, Illyana wished she'd decided to return to bed. The sun burned too bright, people were speaking too loudly. It was getting... disorienting.

Illyana made a sharp left and beelined for the nearest bathroom. Where she sat, in silence. for minutes on end before finally exiting it. Calmer now, she made her way into the city proper. She was in an open market (and close to another sensory overload) when she spotted someone. A human girl, and she said girl because she didn't look more than 16 or 17. Whoever she was, she sure liked the color white. Hair, shoes, clothes, even the girl's nails. All a snowy white.

Children have mysteriously been going missing in Castle Town in the dead of night, with eye witnesses reporting an extraordinarily tall individual on the scene. Is it a beast, a man, or something else entirely? Rid the city of this thing and rescue the children… if they aren’t already beyond rescuing.

Another quest, another chance at getting more loot. Well not that she was in it only for a reward. But it was a nice add-on. So far she had been doing fairly well since the vast change that was once the hustle 'n bustle of Hive City. Collecting a few gold coins from those who asked for her aid, to having a generally grand time battling ghouls and goblins that dare crossed her path. Why, she had even been making some new friends along the way during her small deeds! How neat was that?

This one quest in particular though was way different than what she had been doing. Slaying trolls who terrorized the general public? No problem! Finding wounded travelers and helping them back to the nearby sector? Piece of cake! But hunting down a monster who abducts children in the dead of night?

That's quite intense. . even for her. But! Nothing she and a partner couldn't handle.

As she finished up scanning the message upon the board, Blake took a look around to see if anyone was even in the hall. A few unfamiliar faces here and there of course. Looked to her like everyone was already paired off, or decided their groups in advance. It would be a shame if she had to leave it until tomorrow night.

But there was a glimmer of hope.

A lone individual faced the other direction donned silver armor, garbed in a long white and light blue silk cape with distinctive stitched patterns along the edges. Their stance gave off the vibe that they didn't want to be disturbed in the least bit. Poised, elegant. . cold.

Well that was too bad. She wasn't going to sit around the whole night and wait for the next loner to come along. Who knows how long that would take? And so, walking away from the board, Blake had made her way to the stranger to go properly speak to them.

"Excuse me. I wanted to know if--. . " the faunus suddenly ceased her speech. Hold on just a moment here. She recognized that scent anywhere. The smell tingled inside of her nose; pungent, strong, yet light. And to much surprise, it wasn't any sort of fancy designer perfume either.

It was dust.
