17/2/18 I like it when I get a sheet done in less than an hour!! Today I have also managed to finish my English Literature essay on Religion within Christina Rossetti's poetry which is awesome because technically I could have left that due to family circumstances. But knowing me, I would have hated that!!!!
25/3/18 After two days I have already finished my proposal for this graphics unit so it is ready to be marked tomorrow morning. The exam isn't until May 18th but we need to get on with the final piece so this is best out of the way. Now I can really crack on. I've also rewritten my feminism notes onto a handy printable for English Lit and next I need to do the same for Marxism and Psychoanalysis. It's great to have these revision resources ready!! My new timetabling is working well and it is nice to split my day into several sections rather than being worn down with a single subject. I have my first review tomorrow to see how I'm going!!

Students on the BTEC Level 3 in Graphic Design and Illustration have produced these striking step-frame animations with their tutor Amy Lunn. The brief was to combine experimental imagery such as drawings and photographs to create a short personal narrative.Β

Pre-Production
Me and Curtiss began our tasks quickly and while we worked on different tasks we did collaborate with one another as needed. I was able to finish the Risk Assessment and Recce quickly as I had past copies of them on my hard drive for the same room. Admittedly changes were made to the Risk Assessment asΒ there were many different requirements as opposed to the previous shoots in that room. The same applied to the Recce as well.
The resources list was brief as there is very little needed beyond the standard filming equipment. What it does have is the background and anything needed to make it. Also as we have not met any of our actors yet we are unsure on outfits. We have spoken to the centre about this and they have assured us it will be fine.
Curtiss provided drafts of both the shot list and the storyboard and we then did the photographic versions using people from the class.
We also need to set up the background which is the main part of the set. This will take a few hours to do but is easily do-able with the both of us. We also have yet to meet our actors and find out what we need to do for outfits. We hope that they already have the clothes on hand but if not we have been told we may find some clothes in a department in the college.
Equipment was booked by Curtiss for the 5th of June. This includes the lights, recording equipment, Camera and Tripod. The Background will be done on the 3rd of June. The reason it is done so close to the filming date is that the studio was in use most days with other productions. This was the earliest time we can. We can also come in on the 4th if needed.
