oh it’s been a while (~4yrs???)

if anyone’s still here, here’s a mini update!

I’m currently halfway through my bachelors degree. I initially was enrolled on a midwifery course but ended up switching to genetics 🧬 following an extreme bout of poor mental health and loss of passion (I’m a lot happier now!)

currently working at an average of 69% so just need a little push up to 70% for a first class degree (fingers crossed!), but I’d be extremely proud of myself either way.

I’ve never gotten too personal on this blog but I’d thought I’d share some messages of hope. I’ve struggled with poor mh since about 11. I never thought I’d take my GCSEs, A-levels, uni was never even a consideration! because of this, I’d end up changing what subjects I took at each of these stages - it’s hard to know what you want to do when you never thought you’d make it this far. sometimes I think I won’t even see the end to this degree. but alas, day-by-day I keep pushing. the future is frightening, I have no idea what comes next, it’s so easy to get lost in what internships your course mates are doing and how easy they seem to find it all. in these moments I choose to look at how far I’ve come and remind myself how proud 11 yr old me would be of what I’ve accomplished. focus on yourself, eat some tangerines, bask in the sun. you’ll be fine my little dove. I promise <3

First day back after Easter.

Technically my last school term… bitter sweet feeling really. I always try convince myself to make the most of it, enjoy my time with friends and the school building itself which I won’t see ever again after this term is over. But yet I’m so glad to be moving after summer to a new school. I think I just need a fresh start and a new uniform -_-

Anyways, gotta get on that revision grind to ace my exams💪
