2022/2023 Academic Year Goals
This is more of a reference post than anything to keep myself accountable and stay on track, it's a big year and there's a lot riding on it :)
University
Meet all school deadlines for my personal statement and UCAS application
Write a personal statement I'm proud of
Attend an open day
Survive interview and offers season
Research some clearing options
Apply for student finance and accommodation in good time
Academic
Aim for AAB as my final grades
Make flashcards for business the same day if possible
Log as much French vocab as possible in Anki
Review maths topics by doing practice questions
Only miss homework deadlines for legitimate reasons (ie procrastinating/forgetfulness are not valid reasons)
Extra-curriculars
Take part in the school musical
Regular attendance at choir and orchestra
Meet all my deadlines for the school news team
Languages
Learn using an app every day
Active studying of at least 1 language at least once a week
Life
Try to keep up my job if possible
Keep track of my spending and save as much as possible
Pass my driving test
Health (in all its forms)
Exercise outside of school at least twice a week
Develop a solid morning and evening routine that includes mindfulness and a lack of screens
Try to have a social life when schedules allow it
Engage in hobbies that don't involve screens at least twice a week
A long to-do list for the day because there is so much work to do:
Morning
Mainly mechanics:
Complete questions on the PowerPoint
Finish marking the booklet and add any questions I need to the slides
Free periods
Finish exercise 1D and the exam questions
Look through the booklet to see if I have missed anything in my notes on complex numbers
Make stats notes + do the exercises: there is a lot, get as much done as you can
If by some miracle you have extra time (or statistics kills you brain) you can:
Make notes on calculus/look through the video to catch up on the missed lesson
Read papers for coursework
Evening
Oscillations: make notes and catch up on missed work
Do any of the above that you have not completed

Oops, haven’t posted in a while. I got completely wrapped up in my mocks and then needed some time to recharge. I’m planning to be more active on this blog from now on.
To-do list:
Honestly I have way too much to do today and I’m not going to get all of it done.
Maths: complete all homework and finish notes
Physics: start making notes on oscillations and catch up on the missed work
Spend any spare time doing coursework: read papers, continue with the code
Winter studying challenge! ❄️❄️❄️
25th December - Merry Christmas! Tell us about your day!
Merry Christmas to everyone who celebrates it! I do not, but my family did try to do something nice by cooking pizza together.
26th December - What do you do the day after Christmas?
Not much - I had a chill day by talking to my friends and studying a little near the end.
Day 6?/25 (I’m losing count)
Merry Christmas!! / Happy holidays!!
I hope everyone had a nice weekend. I wasn’t on tumblr yesterday, so I apologise for the late wishes. The last two days were quite fun with more celebrating and panic procrastinating than actual studying but I managed to make some progress with my to-do list.
For the second half of further maths pure topics:
Make notes
Try to complete all exercises in textbook (at least every question from the mixed exercise if this is taking too long)
When ready, look at exam questions
Continue making notes on computer science - it would be great if you can either finish application generation or a bulk of the smaller topics.
Review flashcards that are due on each day.
The first photo above is my Anki streak!! It makes me so happy because I have a ton of flashcards that I make but I never go through. Hopefully I can keep this up until my actual exams...
I’ll make another list tomorrow morning for what I plan to get done next week. Until then, goodnight everyone ✨🌌
