Dicen que para perdonar a alguien, primero debes perdonarte a ti mismo.

Me perdono por querer llenar las expectativas de alguien que terminó dañándome emocionalmente. Me perdono por juzgar a mis padres, por culparlos por sus problemas y justificarme diciendo que por ellos, yo actuaba de cierta manera. Me perdono por no haber estado para ellos cuando más me han necesitado.

Me perdono por intentar dañarme, aún sabiendo que tengo a alguien a mi lado que sigue mis pasos y me llama “mamá”. Me perdono por no perdonarme a tiempo y no buscar ayuda en su momento.

Me perdono por las cosas que he dicho sin pensar, por no valorar a las personas tan excepcionales que tengo a mi lado y por creer que no necesito a nadie conmigo que me brinde su amor y sea mi red de apoyo. Me perdono por poner primero mis problemas por encima de todo y todos.

Me perdono por descuidarme personalmente y pensar en estupideces. Me perdono por fallarme tantas veces.

Me perdono por no considerarme lo suficientemente valiosa y no amarme lo suficiente.

Me perdono por condenarme tantos años y alejarme de las personas que me quieren y hoy ya no están.

Me perdono porque no quiero ser un mal ejemplo; me perdono por mi estabilidad, mi paz y mi tranquilidad interna.

Me perdono porque ahora puedo ver lo chingona que puedo ser y lo lejos que puedo llegar.

Me perdono porque hoy no sé si la persona que está a mi lado, va a estar mañana y le pido perdón si fallé tantas veces.

I promise you, You don’t want to be the one Staring at a razor, A bottle of pills, A coat hanger, Wondering if life is worth it, Waking up to your finder’s screams, Or succumbing to the blackness.

I promise you, You don’t want to be the one To get that call or text, “I need you now,” And talk them down From their breaking point, Carry their pain And that worry.
