clutches my head. grand mother silk is such a character. she sucks so bad but in such a compelling way. she wants precious loving innocent children who will live forever & never leave her side and never disobey her. and she will lie to them and cage them up and invade their minds to make this so. it seems like she loved the weavers and her subjects a lot. but with a constricting and deeply conditional love.
and she loved lace so. so much. lace is the perfect child she dreamed of having. a child she can always repair. a child who will always obey her & never run away because she needs her mother to survive. and gms is willing to let her entire kingdom fall to protect lace. but she probably never listened to a single thing lace said. lace was never a person to her
