I really don’t see fellow aspecs come to the defense of demisexual and demiromantic people enough. more often than not I see them contribute to their ostracization. A lot of the time I see non-demi aspecs hop on the “but is demisexuality/demiromanticism real?” train of thought and it’s harmful. I have lost count of how many ace and aro people I have come across who were unsupportive of demisexual or demiromantic individuals. I shouldn’t have to ask y’all to care about or respect someone in your community. Just because you are aspec that doesn’t mean you understand or have to understand other aspec orientations. You can just respect people and move on.

shoutout to aromantics in relationships because it gets really tiring to have to explain to people how you can be aromantic and in a relationship!

oriented aroace sapphics should be met with compassion and kindness whenever they are interacting with sapphic posts instead of the usual defensiveness they receive because of exclusionary sapphics who don’t understand their identity! you are only dividing the sapphic community further by not accepting oriented aroace sapphics! start respecting oriented aroace sapphics the same way you would any other sapphic!

angled aroace sapphics deserve to feel a sense of belonging in sapphic spaces the way that every other sapphic gets to feel! angled aroace sapphics shouldn’t have to explain to you why they are “worthy” of using the word sapphic just because you don’t think it’s possible. angled aroace sapphics are wonderful and just as sapphic as the rest of us!

shoutout to romance repulsed aromantic sapphics! you don’t need romance to be a valid sapphic! you aren’t any less sapphic because you are romance repulsed!
