Overall, I really enjoyed this event. Kushu has been one of my favorite characters since her introduction in Magia Record and I was overjoyed to learn that there would be a story where she and Kako become friends over their mutual enjoyment of reading. The two of them working together to find the first edition of their favorite book had me rooting for them the whole time, and I really liked how the event ended with Kushu's aunt giving her book collection to Kako's dad for their store and Kushu translating the book and Kako sharing her book reviews. That said, there was one thing that bothered me: Kushu repressing her memories of what happened to Aneka. To explain why, let me detail the timeline of events. In the previous game, Kushu's introductory event has her encountering an uwasa, which puts her through a trial in exchange for a wish. During this trial, Kushu uses a hair scrunchie that Aneka gave her to unlock memories, and in the process learns about Aneka's sister and what happened to her, the wish she made and why, her own uncanny resemblance to Aneka's sister, Aneka's efforts to remind herself that they were two separate people, and is reminded of why and how she became a magical girl, the consequences thereof, and the day she learned about the witchbomb from Kyuubey telling her that she just purified her soul gem with Aneka's grief seed. By the end of the event, she has chosen to face those memories, passed the Uwasa's trial, and later encounters a girl whose voice sounds exactly like Aneka running to join her parents. Rather than turning to look, Kushu takes this as her wish to encounter Aneka one last time being granted, and is able to literally and symbolically move forward.

During the magireco event, Kushu meets two other magical girls: Yukika and Ikumi. Crucially, Ikumi is a black feather and this is the first time that Kushu and Yukika are made aware of the existence of the Wings of the Magius, and it is implied that Ikumi recruited Yukika after they escaped the uwasa.

Now, going on a brief tangent, in Yukika's MSS, she is already a blackfeather and is approached by the little Kyuubey, who sticks with her for protection from Yachiyo until she's able to help him unite with Iroha, who has just arrived in Kamihama at the time, which means Kushu's event story must have taken place first.

Kushu's MSS takes place way later, when a chance run-in with Rui leads to her being mistaken for a vampire, leading to rumors spreading in the area when she describes her encounter on Meguru's radio show. Kushu, unaware of her connection to these rumors, assists Mitama, Karin, and Ui in their investigation of these rumors, and are joined by Ashley and Riko, who also happen to be in the area for similar reasons. By the end, they determine it must have been Kushu herself, only for a wayward Chika to accidentally scare them away.

In the Exedra event, Kushu mentions having learned about Aneka and her sister and the scrunchie's involvement. The wings of the Magius are mentioned at the beginning of the event, and Kushu is also friends with Ashley (conversations with whom are how Kushu and Kako first learned about each other). She meets Team Mikazuki villa for the first time, and all five core members are present, which means it has to take place well into the story. Iroha is referred to as the team's leader, and Kushu mentions knowing Mikazuki Villa by reputation. Crucially, Kushu explicitly states that this event is the third time she's been mistaken for a vampire, so the earliest this can possibly take place is post-arc 1.
