Lightlark by Alex Aster My rating: 5 of 5 stars I really enjoyed this fantasy read. I know this book is well written, and very beautifully descriptive. You are reading about Isla, a ruler of the Wildings, and she has a secret; just like all the other rulers have a secret as well. As you follow her through the Centennial you will meet new people along the way; but can she trust those? Lies, cheating, and betrayal. If Isla wants to survive, that is what she must do. “The Centennial was many things. A game. A chance at breaking the many curses that plagued the six realms. An opportunity to win unmatched power. A meeting of the six rulers. A hundred days on an island cursed to only appear once every hundred years. And for Isla— Almost certain death.” ― Alex Aster, Lightlark Be sure to have the second book avaible, because Lightlark does end in a cliffhanger. View all my reviews
