I have all from September until November to read them all so I have lots of time.

I do not like it.

Oh boy. Listen, I love the topics. I hate the formatting. I wanted more information.

Basically what is happening is a paraphrase of the text the small chapter is about in a small paragraph and then a small paragraph about thoughts on the paragraph of paraphrased text. (I think.)

That is a simplified example of what I have been reading.

I think I was just expecting more information. This book starts with the bible, actually most of the book is the bible, which I expected, but its basically the bible. What I mean by that is I am literally reading the Bible through the eyes of this author/translator.

This is interesting, in fact I do this often, I read the Bible through the lens of others, philosophers, scholars, Catholic religious leaders and even the Talmud with Rabbi and their commentaries. I absolutely love this.

Which is why I thought I would love reading this book because it comes at these text from a magical lens (Kinda). I think it to me, my opinion only here, is that it is falling a little flat.

Here is the thing though, I have been having medical issues so maybe I am not fully understanding which is why up there I said "(I think.)". I may not be absorbing the words in the way I need to, so when I am finish with the book I think I may read it over once more before giving my final thoughts.

What I will say is the new information I am learning is mostly vocabulary on words revolving "magic" and I LOVE vocabulary.
