I am already at the point where people on Earth found out Mark Watney is alive and I think all reactions and interactions there are priceless. They are trying to establish communication with Mark and you know what the problem is. However the communication architecture used is actually how we want to do it conceptually (go read Future Mars Communication architecture report by IAOG if you are really interested for details, good over 100 pages explaining mars communication). And the main thing running through my head right now is: how many engineers would just quote/use this book to reason that we need at least 2 separate completely build communications linked to the main Hub, when time came to build the system? And again: to have one dish on Hub and have MAV as backup is more than a valid idea

I call it the Mocha Meter (if it sucks, please don't tell me 😭). This comes from my hatred for the goodreads rating system, but also how I don't want to write essays about every single book that I read, though some do demand it. This is my rating system, if you have any ideas let me know. So first things first, I was thinking of giving it a letter scale instead, from A+ to an F, including + and - grades because that gives me more range. Another idea I was thinking of was putting books on hypothetical shelves (I know goodreads has that maybe I'll start using it). The shelves would indicate if I would recommend or not. But I don't know if I would recommend it or not. I think from A+ to B would be really good books that I would recommend. From B to C+ would be books that are mid, good but nothing special. C to D is not my style while F is a book I despised. This has nothing to do with grades, but I think it's better than giving them a numerical grade out of 10 or even a 100?. There is also some emojis I'd like to add: ⭐some of my favorite books of all time ☕ gripping, couldn't put it down ❤️ good romance 🌺 good vibes 🤍 good plot ☀️ good writing 🌑 made me feel things

I think I made this system mostly because I want to be able to catalog books and rate them based on more than just how well they're written or even how much I like them, but more on just if they make me feel or think (sort of like how on letterbox you can give a movie a high rating without actually pressing the heart button, yes, it's a good movie, but I didn't like it). I also needed to have more freedom in my rating. All of these emojis I can draw and put in my journal so that'll help for sure.
