Harlan Raker being the god of death, has his own way to traverse stormside. Cause death can't really be stopped by anyone.
Because Aris killed the god of travels, the magic on the gates separating Starside and Stormside is going to weaken and eventually fall all on their own.
Aris is gonna kill Cadoc
Cadoc may or may not have been turned into some hideous beast after drinking the magic.
Stellan's blade that Cadoc stole is going to be used in a plot relevant way at some point.
Either Aris is going to kill Harlan with Stellan's dagger or Harlan is going to chose to be human for Aris. Cause love.
finished lightlark and I'm so torn...
just finished chapter 53 of lightlark and I'm devastated. I knew the main betrayal was a possibility, that the person who turned out to be the main evil was possibly evil all along but it still hurt. And then we get the revelation of the other betrayal and that fucking stings. 😭
soooo... I've been reading Lightlark and just finished chapter 45. I sort of raged at Oro for a little a few chapters back. But then I also felt sorry for him. However, despite everything, I don't get how people are team Oro yet. Cause like, miss ma'am, GRIM IS RIGHT THERE! How do you even look at anyone else? 😭✋🏻
I dunno what I'll do if Grim ever betrays us. I feel for Oro, truly i do. But I just can't seem to sway towards him when Grim is right there!

I feel such an insane amount of pity for Alex Aster. Like her books or not, you can’t disagree that her publisher is violating workers rights like nobody’s business by forcing multiple extremely long novels out of her a year. Aster has spoken about how sickly she’s gotten bc of it and it’s tragic.
People will really hate on everything and anything. I havent read the authors first series so I have literally nothing to compare Starside to, but all of these unhappy spoilsports are bitching about how the author's writing is very similar to... their own writing? Even if it is more of Aster's stuff just "recycled" there's still space for others to enjoy it. Y'all are drinking some damn haterade.
This book has me giggling like a school girl, kicking my damn feet, and screaming into a pillow. Harlan, they could never make me hate your big dumb ass.
