We haven't had a host in months(?) and tbfh i think we all underestimated how much he held things together 🤦♀️🤦♀️ our dissociative and memory barriers are at an all time high, some people are acting out, and, yeah, throughout all of that we somehow found love??? Its been chaotic, but it hasnt been all bad. At least the people who are here now feel like we are on more of an equal playing field when it comes to fronting. 💣Mark was such a front magnet. 😅😅

I think that some people forget that the label of "mixed origin" doesn't actually tell you what specific origins a system has. Most seem to assume or act like "mixed origin" is just a shorter way of saying "traumagenic and endogenic," when this isn't always the case. Sure, some mixed origin systems are both traumagenic and endogenic, but there are also mixed origin systems who only use origin labels under the traumagenic umbrella and thus don't consider themselves endogenic, or who only use origin labels under the endogenic umbrella and thus don't consider themselves traumagenic. It's a bit like being nonbinary – people assume you're this one specific way, when the whole point of saying you're this thing is to say "hey, I don't fit neatly into one box or the other."
Anyway, just a friendly reminder that "mixed origin" is not a synonym for "trauma-endo," and you shouldn't assume things about other people just based on the labels they choose to share with you.

Endogenic systems are not trivializing a disorder of any kind. Endogenic systems can be disordered or non-disordered, intentional or not, but regardless of how they exist, their existence is not ableist at all. Endogenic systems deserve to exist without harassment or hate.
Random thought, but I feel like some people have no idea what “specific spaces for different groups” actually are like, because they try to make those spaces through exclusion instead of focus on the group they want a space for. In the process, they often exclude people they might have meant to include in their specific spaces.
Here’s an example. Let’s say there’s a world where people can be blue or red. Someone who is blue wants to make a discord server for blue people to share their experiences, so they put up a rule of “no reds allowed.” However, in doing so they have excluded all the people who are purple, or mismatched in red and blue, or who think they’re red but are questioning being blue. In this scenario, the original blue person has excluded those who want to talk about their blue experiences, all because they decided that exclusion was the best way to go about creating their server instead of making clear that the discord server is focused on being blue.
This metaphor is about what it’s like being multigenic and trying to connect with the traumagenic community, but it can also be about male and female bigender people and women's-only/men's-only spaces, straight trans people and queer communities that use “straight” when they really mean “non-lgbtq,” and more. It’s a bit difficult to catch some happenings of this, but it does happen often in our experience.
I feel like this has something to do with how people are more willing to rally against a vague oppression instead of actually supporting minorities hurt by those oppressions – the way people often say “reblog to make (whatever) big mad” instead of “reblog to support and uplift (group)” comes to mind – but I can’t really put into words why this is.
There’s not really a moral lesson here, this was just inspired by how people don’t realize they’re excluding people from the places they’re supposedly welcome in.
