Hi! We're the Indigo Symphony. We have a pinned post we recommend you check out! Header edited together through art by arianzackril (blogger on Tumblr), bluryyyblu (blogger on Tumblr), and Hristo Fidanov (photographer on Pexels)!
[PT: Who needs a Carrd when you can pin posts? / End PT]
Hello! We're the Indigo Symphony. This is our blog, which is primarily centered around plurality, but other common topics are disability and alterhumanity. Our collective name is Ambrosia (Ambi for short) and our collective pronouns are ty/tem/plur/plurs/plurselves and it/it/its/its/itselves (conjugated like she/him/her/hers/themselves).
Who are we outside of our names? We're a mixed origin, hybrid, polyfragmented plural system with DID that likes to philosophize and write about plural related topics, such as news articles and plural characters. We run four other system blogs: funnier-as-a-system, plegg-culture-is, factive-culture-is, and pluralprompts. We discovered our plurality a few years ago and have been working to become a cooperative collective ever since then, with a mix of fusion and healthy multiplicity.
If you want to support us, you can buy us a coffee here!
Under the cut are some quick links to posts of ours that we especially like, as well as miscellaneous resources, some extra facts about our system and blog, and then some userboxes about our system.
Have a nice day, remember that any hate sent to us will just inspire more positivity posts, and feel free to send us asks about anything on your mind. Most of us don't bite.

We don't want those heavily involved in shipcourse to interact with us. This isn't so much a discourse thing as it is a personal issue we have regarding that sort of thing; for our own mental health we'd like it if we could just avoid each other.
We use a mix of terms to describe ourselves/our system members, though not everyone in our system is comfortable with every term out there. For followers or visitors of our blog, we ask you use "selves" or "instruments" when referring to us.
We're also uncomfortable with being called "friends" by other people unless we give permission. Nothing personal, we're just largely aplatonic.
We try to avoid hosting discourse on this blog, but vents may reference it on occasion, or we may reblog a discourse post if we think it has relevance outside of discourse (ex. social commentary on how people view systems).
We'd also like to say, for the record, that we fully support endogenic, self-diagnosed, and non-traumagenic systems and plurals here.
You're free to use our collective name and pronouns when referring to us if you're not speaking about anyone specific in our system, or don't have or know anyone specific you want to talk to.
Finally, to answer a frequently asked question, the flag in our icon is our system flag, designed ourselves to represent us. The treble clef is a nod to our system name and the symbolism behind the treblesand (harmony and manyness), and the stripes have specific meanings, which we are still working on.

Recently we figured out that we constantly have a bunch of little critters hanging around in front. Usually they act like a regular peanut gallery, commenting on whatever we're doing and offering companionship to the current fronter(s), but they also play another role: to act as messengers from our bodymind.
We're not the best at listening to our needs or signals from our bodymind. But that's where these critters come in! They'll shout things at us that indicate how we're doing or what we need, and can push us to take action to fulfill our needs. For example, the other day, one little critter shouted to remind us that we're hungry, and motivated us to stock up on food while we had the opportunity (since we were at the store). Or, if one of them starts suddenly screaming something like "Nowhere is safe!", we know we're probably about to have an anxiety or panic attack.
I don't know how long these little ones have been here, but everyone that's interacted with them so far has absolutely adored them. They're cute, like little shadow creatures that scurry around! They remind me of the soot spirits from Spirited Away, but they're a bit bigger than that, and more like crabs or spiders. And they're doing their best to help us all.
We've nicknamed them a bunch of things, like "chat" and "the peanut gallery". But mainly they're "the audience [members]", because we're a symphony and they're here to watch us.

and not in the way of wanting more people to have a dissociative disorder, but in the way of plurality being more accepted and known about.
and not just traumagenic plurality; all types of plurality.
everyone deserves a safe place to be themselves, which includes plurals of all kinds, no matter the origin.
we've known about our system for over 5 years now, and we've only managed to muster the courage to tell 2 people in our life about our plurality. we'd like it to be more, but we don't out of fear. fear of more abuse, fear of rejection, fear of abandonment, etc. Those fears are such common experiences throughout the system community that it's become a known problem, but by working to make the sigma around plurality disappear, we get closer and closer each day to a plural future. ♡
The football unites us. Objectum. People not attracted to men. Anyone just here for the bit. We can all support the football as it gets closer to its goal of FIFA World Cup 2026 sexyman.

fictive culture is when you used a typing quirk in source and still do it on and off (talking to friends in private not in public) and people ask why you’re typing without one and go ‘oh thats not how you’re supposed to talk.’ first off really rude way to phrase that second off maybe i wanted to chill out for a second. maybe i have a headache god forbid. maybe im using my phone and doing it on a phone keyboard is really inconvenient. leave me the fuck alone i am literally just some guy who happens to be karkat vantas.
We should really update our system name and stuff but we're at a stalemate with our system flag and that's kinda curbing our progress. Atp seriously considering just grabbing a random icon and using that as a stand-in until we have something that works for us.
Consider: instead of making new Eeveelutions to fit the remaining types, Nintendo just starts making new Eeveelutions for already taken types. Like yeah Leafeon exists already. But consider: Floreon. Polleon. Photosytheon. Far less risk of being too similar to a fan's design.
I love solarpunk fantasies and art as much as the next system but... Sometimes it feels like everything is figured out except for how disabled people fit into this. Y'know? There's a lot about reusable energy and restructuring cities and gardening and yadda yadda and it's like. At some point you gotta ask what the system will do for people who can't take care of plants, or people with allergies, just for instance. I would love for there to be more flowers and trees and bushes and everything else but. Buddy. The fucking hay fever. At least plan out some antihistamine distribution.

We're not the best at taking care of plants, but we do enjoy a good garden, and we love the convenience of having food plants rather than needing to go to the store. Right now, we have mint and parsley that we occasionally use in our cooking. Next week, though, we plan to get a bell pepper plant! It'll be great, having another food plant around when we need it, especially since bell peppers are a great snack!
We usually eat them in one of two ways. For the first, we cut them into thin strips, vaguely reminiscent of French fries. For the second, we cut them into bigger wedges, add cream cheese, and sprinkle on everything bagel seeds. We call this latter snack "bagel peppers"! Our guinea pigs also love peppers (without the cream cheese or seeds, of course!).
It's also great that they offer so many vitamins and such. Growing up, we had a lot of food issues, so it's nice to be able to build up a stable, healthier diet.
Sometimes, we cook them in other ways, but that's usually for other people. Still, not complaining about having even more uses for our plants!
its really sad and frustrating to be someone with a complicated, "divisive" identity because I cannot be open with who we/I am with any random queer person, much less a non-queer person. When I meet a new queer person, I have to present a sanitized version of myself/ves. Like, the point of community is to not need to hide who you are for safety (amongst other things), and yet here we are! Because so many people won't live and let live! Because so many people think its correct, both morally and logically, to draw lines in the sand!!
and tumblr is great because I can just stick to my bubble (#mybubble). I can click on a blog, search my identity, and find out if they support or hate me. but like, in the broader queer community? forums, clubs, meet-ups, hangouts, meeting another queer person on the bus randomly? I do not know if they hate me for being queer. And oftentimes they do. And, from previous experience, they will externalize that hate if they found I ID as [insert any label here that requires like, more than 5 seconds of explanation].
i love you transfems assigned female at birth, transmascs assigned male at birth, trans people who reject classifying transness on the basis of assigned sex/gender at birth, people who don't neatly fit into the trans/cis exclusive dichotomy, trans people who aren't transmasc or transfem, queer alterhumans (especially those who alterhumanity and queerness effect each other), intersex folk (especially those whose intersexuality effects other aspects of their identity), people with culturally exclusive or effected identities, queer systems/plurals, plurals who are also singlet, people who don't fall neatly into the plural/not-plural exclusive dichotomy, people with "contradictory" labels, etc etc etc etc!!!
