Hi! We're the Indigo Symphony. We have a pinned post we recommend you check out! Header edited together through art by arianzackril (blogger on Tumblr), bluryyyblu (blogger on Tumblr), and Hristo Fidanov (photographer on Pexels)!
[PT: Who needs a Carrd when you can pin posts? / End PT]
Hello! We're the Indigo Symphony. This is our blog, which is primarily centered around plurality, but other common topics are disability and alterhumanity. Our collective name is Ambrosia (Ambi for short) and our collective pronouns are ty/tem/plur/plurs/plurselves and it/it/its/its/itselves (conjugated like she/him/her/hers/themselves).
Who are we outside of our names? We're a mixed origin, hybrid, polyfragmented plural system with DID that likes to philosophize and write about plural related topics, such as news articles and plural characters. We run four other system blogs: funnier-as-a-system, plegg-culture-is, factive-culture-is, and pluralprompts. We discovered our plurality a few years ago and have been working to become a cooperative collective ever since then, with a mix of fusion and healthy multiplicity.
If you want to support us, you can buy us a coffee here!
Under the cut are some quick links to posts of ours that we especially like, as well as miscellaneous resources, some extra facts about our system and blog, and then some userboxes about our system.
Have a nice day, remember that any hate sent to us will just inspire more positivity posts, and feel free to send us asks about anything on your mind. Most of us don't bite.

We don't want those heavily involved in shipcourse to interact with us. This isn't so much a discourse thing as it is a personal issue we have regarding that sort of thing; for our own mental health we'd like it if we could just avoid each other.
We use a mix of terms to describe ourselves/our system members, though not everyone in our system is comfortable with every term out there. For followers or visitors of our blog, we ask you use "selves" or "instruments" when referring to us.
We're also uncomfortable with being called "friends" by other people unless we give permission. Nothing personal, we're just largely aplatonic.
We try to avoid hosting discourse on this blog, but vents may reference it on occasion, or we may reblog a discourse post if we think it has relevance outside of discourse (ex. social commentary on how people view systems).
We'd also like to say, for the record, that we fully support endogenic, self-diagnosed, and non-traumagenic systems and plurals here.
You're free to use our collective name and pronouns when referring to us if you're not speaking about anyone specific in our system, or don't have or know anyone specific you want to talk to.
Finally, to answer a frequently asked question, the flag in our icon is our system flag, designed ourselves to represent us. The treble clef is a nod to our system name and the symbolism behind the treblesand (harmony and manyness), and the stripes have specific meanings, which we are still working on.

This is a flag for metaphysical, spiritual, and non-psychological based plurals, systems, collectives, etc.
This flag is meant to represent all plurals who do not consider themselves psychological or medical based, and cannot explain their plurality through a psychological lens.
This flag is inclusive of those who are mixed origins, have both metaphysical/spiritual/etc. experiences and psychological/medical/etc. experiences, and similar.
An image ID for the flags above is highly appreciated. I can not put visuals into words myself, but I will gladly add an image ID if someone will provide it. I will tag @accessibilitea and @idescription for this. Thank you in advance!

Nonhuman expressions of affection are great. Purring. Exposing weak points as a show of trust. Head bonks. Preening and chewing. Nuzzling. Biting. Intertwining tails. Feeding each other. Little chuffs, chatters, beeps and squeaks. Fluffing up of feathers, fur or other things. Dancing to impress. Cleaning their fur, scales, feathers or skin. Sharing body heat. Ears pointing toward those you care about to show your full attention is on them. Slow blinking.
It's been a bit, thx to everyone who reads this. I "lost" my arm around 2 years ago, it fluctuates how bad it is but I'd say most of the time it's at least partly usable.

[page one] being a disabled headmate in an ablebodied body is... weird.
[page two] Just to get a few things out of the way: I do not consider myself physically disabled. For the most part I can Function similarly to my headmates.
This experience falls into our BID (Body Integrity Disorder) It is not voluntary and I am not trying to "appropriate being disabled". If I could choose, I'd probably have both arms.
[page three] My arm is weird. Its there but its also not. Sometimes I can use it, sometimes I cant.
Our muscle memory is shared, which is why Im able to draw or write at all. I dont think about moving my arm, I think about putting the line on the paper. Still, on bad days I struggle with line control.
[page four] On good days I can mask. Sometimes I even forget about it. At least until I get reminded.
It starts to hurt pretty bad when I overuse my arm. maybe I'm using the muscles wrong or something. I don't think I can actually lose control over it, but it does feel like I cant use it at those moments.
[page five] When my arm doesn't cooperate, I have a some stable positions it can rest in.
Just relaxing the arm gets really uncomfortable really quickly. Very inconspicuous though.
The dinosaur arm is what I do most times. Probably the reason our arm is sore the following day.
resting the hand on the shoulder or chest is comfy, but looks really stupid.
I do wish it wasn't there sometimes, but it is really useful when it works since its our dominant hand. also all my headmates need it.
[page six] I could write a whole essay about how BID affects our system (yes, it does affect all of us to varying degrees) and me in particular, but I think I rambled enough.
Thanks for reading and sorry for the lack of activity!
Fuck it, I'm coining a system term because I can't find any that describe our experiences.
I'm calling it: hostfluid.
A hostfluid system is a system that always or usually has a headmate in the role of a host, but experiences host changes very regularly. One headmate might be the host for a couple weeks, a month, or even longer, but there is no sense of permanence to the role.
For example, in our own system, we regularly experience periods without a host, but when we do have one the position tends to change hands frequently. Usually hosts last a couple months for us, we get a period of hostlessness, and then a new one comes along.
From our limited digging, no term for this exists yet. If I'm wrong, uhh. Oops.

Okay so you know that trend where the main cast goes into one character's mind for a bit and finds multiple versions of them? And how canon usually plays this as some sort of ~unknowable metaphor~ but systems and allies usually identify it as evidence for plurality?
Okay yeah so take that but instead of the second half, make it so the character whose head is getting investigated is like. Wait. Why are there multiple of me. And this is how they find out they're plural.
(surprisingly, it was not the earlier TADC ask that made me think of this, although I see the connection, lol)
I don't remember if we sent this before, but thanks for being an account at all. I initially followed you because I was under the impression that I was a singlet, and was really fixated on plurality because I thought it was cool. Then, through reading your guys' posts and the stuff you reblogged, I slowly realized I was actually a we. So thanks for being a big part of our plegg cracking. I'm very happy my headmates exist, I'm happy I know them, and I'm happy I accepted I was plural. I don't think we'd be as happy as we are now if I hadn't figured it out. I don't think I would have figured out I was a system so quickly, let alone opened the gates for 30 freaks /aff into my head.
Wagging my tail wagging my tail wagging my tail
I'm really so glad we could help you in this way! Gosh, this is the sort of thing we stick around and write for, helping others to embrace their plurality. We're definitely the same in that we're a lot happier knowing that we're plural. This is one of the reasons why we always welcome singlets onto our blogs; you never know who is going to discover they're more-than-one.
As far as jax pronouns, jax ādiesā (abstracts) before ever changing pronouns, and gooseworks says youāre allowed to use he or she. I personally take that as good enough for a bigender jax headcanon and thus use both
Ah, okay, thank you for letting me know! And thank you to @serpentesol for also adding context.
Thoughts on the interpretation of TADC Jax as a system justified by that scene where her inner mental space is illustrated with different versions of himself?
I don't really know much of TADC. My main exposure to it was that reaction series of someone watching the episodes in reverse order, and I haven't seen the last episode. So, I only have a vague idea of what you're talking about. But any reason for a system headcanon is a good reason to me. Make that rabbit plural hey a thought just occurred to me. Did they ever make a joke about Jax, a rabbit, having a friend named Ribbit? I hope so. Rabbit and Ribbit.
On another note, isn't Jax now canonically a trans woman? I've heard that around. Does finale Jax use both she/her and he/him pronouns (whether that means currently, or just that "he" is preferred for Jax's old self before she discovered herself), or was the "himself" a typo of sorts? If it's the latter, please be careful in the future, okay? It's not exactly a good idea to misgender a canon trans character, to say the least. I'm being generous here because I don't actually know the character, but misgendering a trans character can be a huge red flag to trans folk (especially trans women in this case) about if you're likely to misgender them, too. But if she does use multiple sets of pronouns then feel free to throw bananas at my head or something ig.

I get why people in the past were saying "eureka" and stuff whenever they came up with some great idea. Personally I say "Ding!" whenever I have a brilliant idea, channeling my inner typewriter. Which is fitting because most of my brilliant ideas are ideas for my writing projects.
