For Christmas I made Melissa a CATBUS PONCHO! My mom helped me sew it because she is a wonderful seamstress. I based the pattern off of the Totoro Poncho that I own (I bought the Totoro one off Amazon years ago). I am super happy with the results!

Melissa's Christmas gift to me! She made me a felted TOTORO and an Alice In Wonderland doll!! This girl knows me so well !

Just progress update to the last craft day (7 I think!). So, I wanted to note that my only productive way of "helping" so far has been to come up with the idea, help choose fabric with Mel, web search patterns with Mel, have Zoe as a child, and fund the project. All if the rest so far is Melissa! We've noted that we tend to not give ourselves enough time to help me learn to sew, so she's just taken on the sewing. Plus my cutting is unintentionally uneavenly horrendous most of the time, so she even cut the fabric too! I'm useless! Lol. But not for long. We are running out of time on this one because we plan to finish it for comic con. But, we've got plenty of ideas in the works!

Ok, so ideally we would have time to make some accessories for Zoe’s May (totoro) costume as well! Here is one of the things we want to make ;)

SO! We've found someone who has shared their experience in making all the things for a May (Totoro) costume! This is going to work out great :) We shall start this weekend!
