Planning on making a 6 day star blanket and need colour options to mix and match. Feel free to recommend brands (based in the UK especially!!!) and I want to use variegated yarn. If you've made one, I just have one question: do I really have to have three hooks 0.5mm sized within each other?? I don't really want to buy new hooks. Also I'm lazy and don't wanna count when I have to switch to a bigger hook.
In terms of colours, I'm thinking of using a beach themed variegated yarn, but should I make one with mixed purple and pinks?
Also, I plan to buy enough of the needed yarn in bulk so I'm thinking of how much will be needed to finish the blanket in a very large size (like, 'room to wrap around two people at the same time' size) so how many meters of yarn will I need if I'm using a double knit (size 3/4) yarn weight? I'm also using acrylic in the interest of recommendations. I dunno, I'm really just looking for opinions on colour combos that look nice and how much yarn I'll need for the particular yarn weight I'm using.
