During a high speed car chase pursuit, the FOX 11 Los Angeles helicopter had an unexpected moment when they spotted a rooster and a chicken casually walking down the sidewalk right in the middle of the pursuit.
The fact that they were walking 1-3mph
His joy and whimsy at seeing this
His acknowledgement of it not being as interesting as the chase
His little "huh" cuz you know they told him to focus
Maid who pronounces "lmao" out loud as Lame-o! And nobody corrects her because why would you that's cute
You should strive to protect a girl's idiosyncrasies as much as possible.
I won't claim to have ever been a good person, but sometimes I feel like I've been warped into an even worse person.
feels like I've just gotten lazier and more apathetic and uncaring and despite my attempts to not be that way, I'm still stuck in that pit and cannot regain that spark. that joy and whimsy.
feels like I'm already dead and just a walking corpse.
the last time I ever had my humanity was around 2023 and since then, I've just lost it. at this point, I don't know if I'll ever get my humanity back. I used to be a person instead of just a malfunctioning automaton.
“we live in an uncaring universe” yeah dude and I live in an uncaring house. and I shit in an uncaring toilet. but do you touch an uncaring lover? do you comfort an uncaring child? do you guide to sleep each night a cold and uncaring self?
please hurry up in reblogging this I wanna jorts it before someone puts it in one of those heartwarming tiktok slideshows
i was like 'what could jorts it possibly mean' but as with many things clicking the original post immediately clarified the situation

Differences between the Vietnamese ao dai and the Chinese cheongsam/qipao (cheongsam is the Cantonese name, qipao is the Mandarin name). By lilsuika on Deviantart.
i think you should maybe trust trans women when they think theyre being microaggressed
like ultimately thats what the whole fuckin "dude" discourse is about, whenever some random transmisogynist starts arguing with a trans girl here, he/they can drop a casual "relax, dude" to misgender her and insult her, and if she dares point it out, a hundred stupid fuckers will crawling in her replies and inbox to inform her that "it's gender neutral where i'm from actually". like it isn't really about the word "dude", we're pointing out that when you see a trans woman and another tme person arguing you will immediately take the timmie's side.

EXCLUSIVE: Indie game developer Tiny Fox spotted making a devious face in anticipation of the launch of his hit game, Undertale 2, this Saturday, June 13th:
Who knows what awaits us in the latest chapters...
Can I add on with reblogs like this
my philosophy on “cozy” is that true coziness requires juxtaposition. sitting around a fire in the winter is cozy because the outside is cold, right? if there’s no hardship to take shelter from, peace quickly becomes unremarkable. now, i do think we should strive for peace being unremarkable in real life, but if you’re making a work of fiction that’s supposed to inspire feelings of “coziness,” you need to strike a balance. if part of the game is “customize your house!” i need to feel some sense of relief from returning home. i stand by my previous statement that night in the woods is the coziest game ive ever played, and it doesn’t even market itself as a “cozy game.” it feels cozy because it’s a game about how our friendships give us reasons to keep holding on even under systems that are apathetic (at best) to our suffering. night in the woods says, “yes, you are a small, insignificant speck in a vast sea that will eventually drown you, but there’s a forest on the outskirts in town where you can do dumb shit with your friend, and a lake you can sit by while you talk about your struggles.” and that’s beautiful to me. that’s what peace actually feels like.
Contrary to popular belief the biggest beginner's roadblock to art isn't even technical skill it's frustration tolerance, especially in the age of social media. It hurts and the frustration is endless but you must build the frustration tolerance equivalent to a roach's capacity to survive a nuclear explosion. That's how you build on the technical skill. Throw that "won't even start because I'm afraid it won't be perfect" shit out the window. Just do it. Just start. Good luck.

Submitter comment: I'd like to submit this '[s]tudy of defensive behavior of a venomous snake as a new approach to understand snakebite' not for it's topic (worth studying!) but for it's insane methodology, which... well, I'll just let the researcher speak for himself:
[Q: Why did you decide to do this experiment?
A: Snake behavior has been generally neglected as a field of research, especially in Brazil. And most studies don’t examine what factors make them want to bite. If you study malaria, you can research the parasite that causes the disease—but if you don’t study the mosquito that carries it, you will never solve the problem. Up until now, the popular wisdom was that the jararaca would only attack if you touched it or stepped on it. But that was not what we found.
Q: Why did you need to be the victim?
A: The best way to do this research is to put snakes and a human together. In this case, the human was me. We put the snakes inside a ring on the floor of our lab until they got used to it, then I stepped in wearing special protective boots. I stepped close to the snake and also lightly on top of it. I didn’t put my whole weight on my foot, so I did not hurt the snakes. I tested 116 animals and stepped 30 times on every animal, totaling 40,480 steps.]
From the recent (aptly named) interview: Researcher steps on deadly vipers 40,000 times to better predict snakebites
