one of the only actually intriguing takes Ive seen about omegaverse sexual dimorphism is the idea that alpha/beta/omega is the primary gender, and male/female is the secondary, because in a world where male omegas have genetalia indistinguishable from that of a cis woman it would be impossible to know if a child was a male omega or a female omega/beta until puberty, and similarly impossible to know if a child was a female alpha or a male beta/alpha until puberty, because that's when their secondary sex characteristics would start to kick in. which is actually the first interesting idea ive seen... in a while. for some ppl the second you hit puberty you'll know you'll be socially classed as 'male omega' or 'female alpha' because of your specific combo of primary and secondary sex characteristics, and for others you'll have to wait to see if you present to know if you're a beta or not. im not saying this setup is beyond reproach and it would for sure need a careful hand, probably more careful than the fic i read that touched on it, but also..... damn! fascinating concept!!!!

I learned about Sam Nordquist tonight and I’m crying pretty hard. I don’t understand why people hate us so much and it makes me so unbelievably sad and angry every time one of my trans siblings is murdered… It turns my stomach that he was in a relationship with one of the murderers.
