One of the lesser reasons that Hamilton (musical) fans are going to hell (below the whole slavery thing) is making John Laurens into a gay smol bean who was tragically in gay love with Hamilton when i would argue that the Hamilton-Laurens letters suggest they fucked a few times, Hamilton fell in love, and wrote him a bunch of really pathetic letters where he begs Laurens to write him back more and also tries to argue that just because they have wives doesn’t mean they can’t still be the most important special men in each other’s hearts. And that is a much funnier series of events in my opinion
