Shout out to my mom who explains my transition as "Having a daughterpillar turn into a Boyterfly". It doesn't erase the fact I was an adorable little girl, and also affirms my gender now. I love my mother.

seeing people say "this trope has been done to death" as if that's ever stopped anyone from eating bread. BREAD HAS BEEN DONE TO DEATH FOR LITERALLY THOUSANDS OF YEARS AND WE STILL WANT MORE BREAD. write your chosen one AU. write your coffee shop meet-cute. write your 47th iteration of "there was only one bed" because guess what??? we're still hungry.
Listen, if I like a trope, I'll read like 27,000 different fics with virtually the same concept, the same two bitches but different writing and different takes and different characterization!!
“We left rhetoric about Jews poisoning wells in the Middle Ages!”
Modern rhetoric:
Love it when people tell me "AI-slop" isn't an antisemitic term because slop had meaning before 'goyslop'" when goyslop is becoming a normalised belief alongside the use of the term AI-slop.
I watched the video because I was bored and wow, that was fucking dumb.
Talking about Strauss and Tnuva's monopoly like it's a trick by the joos to poison America and not, like, a major issue in Israel that Israeli farmers are constantly fighting against?
Treating the fact the "remilk" products are labelled in Israel as lab made but not in America as if that's an Israeli plot to poison them? And not the fault of the American government, FDA and the billionaires who run the food companies?
She literally used the word goyslop at the beginning. If anything American products are what's poisoning the rest of the world.
People literally commanding about the "well poisioners" being "at it again".
What the fuck is wrong with people
Wow the popularization of "-slop" as a suffix is letting "goyslop" leak into the mainstream in its original neo-Nazi context? No one could have seen this coming!
“If voting did anything they would outlaw it.” Is such an insane take to me, because literally all of human politics for recorded history has centered around Outlawing the Vote.
Big tiem agreed. The problem is due to loss of ciritical thinking skills, people don't understand that "outlawing voting" doesn't come with a big announcement of "voting is now illegal" delivered by a mustache twirling villain on tv and now nobody at all can vote.
Outlawing voting looks like th SAVE act requiring the name on your ID to match your birth certificate making it illegal for millions of married people (primarily women, but this would have affected my former husband) and trans people to vote.
Outlawing voting looks like increasing restrictions on mail-in ballots, making it illegal for millions of disabled people and people without access to voting locations to vote. It looks like voting locations being hosted in buildings that don't have to comply with ADA. It looks like closing polling places so that high population areas don't have the capacity to get everyone through in a timely manner. It looks like requiring state ID and then restricting the number of available places to get that ID and making it expensive, because that technically isn't a poll tax.
It looks like absurd redistricting. It looks like "accidentally" purging active voters from the voting rolls a few days before the election. It looks like piling as many restrictions onto voter registration as they can.
Outlawing voting looks like voter suppression. But it really is the same damned thing.
The big "voting is now illegal" announcement only comes when it has already been made impossible, when it is already de facto illegal
Also they never say "voting is illegal", they say something like "you no longer need to vote, you don't have to vote" etc, they frame voting as a chore or inconvenience
They also might never announce "voting is now illegal", but make it so that the legal vote is functionality meaningless.
My family lived in the Soviet Union. They all went to vote, dutifully playing their part in the charade of The Ideal Nation. And when their turn came, they, like all other Soviet citizens, were faced with two choices: The Communist Society Party, or Abstaining. Which is functionality no different to not having elections at all.
After nearly a month of being cut off, you finally reach the global internet. You speak about the terror you survived—just a fraction of it. And the response you get is being called a “Zionist.”
Go ahead—tell the families of those 36,000 dead to “not be sad.” Tell the people who were blinded to suddenly “see the light of truth.” Tell everyone to stay home and shut up because the Islamic Republic claims it supports Gaza.
You have absolutely no idea what this regime has done. No understanding of the destruction it has brought to Afghanistan, Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, and Palestine.
Ninety million people in this country are living in pain and suffering every single day.

alright I've got to do some quick math to explain attitudes towards AI to my boss.
we're looking to create an AI policy, and when we were talking about this, my boss (older millennial) was genuinely shocked to hear that younger people do not (seem) to view AI positively (a la the recent commencement speakers being booed)
please rb for larger sample size!
Question 1/3
What is your age, and do you feel AI is a net positive or net negative in our lives today?
under 18, AI is a net positive
under 18, AI is a net negative
18-29, AI is a net positive
18-29, AI is a net negative
30-45, AI is a net positive
30-45, AI is a net negative
46-60, AI is a net positive
46-60, AI is a net negative
over 60, AI is a net postive
over 60, AI is a net negative
Question 2/3
How often do you visit or interact with museums/archives (whether in person or online)?
Frequently (multiple times per month)
Often (multiple times per year)
Occasionally (a couple times per year)
Rarely (once every couple of years)
Never :(
Question 3/3
If you saw a museum was using AI in exhibits, marketing, research, etc., would you be more or less inclined to visit that museum?
under 18, more inclined
under 18, less inclined
18-29, more inclined
18-29, less inclined
30-45, more inclined
30-45, less inclined
46-60, more inclined

antisemites are obsessed with the concept of jews taking revenge for what has been done to us. firstly:
there have never been enough jews in the history of the world, there are not enough resources, there is not enough time for it to be even remotely possible that we do unto you what you have done to us
secondly:
and what if we did? would it not by your own estimation be justified?
thirdly:
this only comes to your mind because if this happened to YOU, then YOU would want to take exact revenge. we aren’t like you. we want to live. all we have ever wanted is to live and be free to determine our own futures. we want independence, self-determination, and peace.
we are not like you. and even if we took revenge in some impossibly small and limited capacity, it would never be enough. i don’t know that enough suffering has ever existed for you to be punished for what you’ve done to us.
fuck you

Anyway i love how the movie uses this very abstract out-there horror premise to represent the human tendency to get stuck on something and obsess over it and become trapped in a never-ending cycle and to resist change so hard that you still change anyway but in a way that degrades and warps and destroys you and the fallibility of human memory and how every time you recall something it gets a little less accurate which means the more you obsess over something the further entrenched in it you become the more you choose to live here the worse it gets the less you understand it until your perspective on the objective reality of it is completely destroyed. The backrooms are a brain the whole thing is a brain. The horror is the human brain. CAN ANYBODY HEAR MEEEEE
The amount of detail that went into Backrooms(2026) is so phenomenal.
Kane Pixels has been making found footage style films for half a decade and has been slowly improving his scare techniques and everything he learned transfers very well into the movie!
Instead of using a lot of jumpscares, the film embraces what it is: horror in the empty spaces. The buzz of the lights and the dark corners in your vision. There are a lot of cool tricks used in the film to terrify the audience without killing their tension (like revealing a monster through a jumpscares would)
Overall, the spooks are very rewarding and it's clear a lot of thought went into this movie
