one of the things about the overton window shifting so much bc we as a society has decided to get so goddamn transmisogynistic, we've forgotten that we wanted cis women to play with cis men in the 2010s.
pitch would not be made in this decade. a woman playing in the mlb? no, they should have a league of their own (pun intended but not a slight). a woman could NEVER play in the nhl, it's just too violent (as if people weren't actively campaigning for shannon szabados to play for the oilers and was a good goalie in the men's pro league she DID play in).
anyways i'll support women in sports but there will always be residual bitterness that transmisogyny is inescapable in these spaces. again, is it no wonder why esports is so full of trans women when it's maybe the only space they're allowed to participate in competition without being institutionally barred from playing at all?
