POETRY:
I feel myself being pulled between two realities. The family and the nomad. The choices in life that will alter my future forever. The wife with kids or the restless traveler? Both attest to hardship and sacrifice. Both noble, while both potentially contrite. But which do I choose? However I live my life as though I have chosen already. I don't want to go back on my decision. Whichever one I choose I will choose with a full heart of compassion. But the anxiety runs through my veins, fear in my blood of letting die a part of me that I have loved for so long. But the awakening of the new person I am is far too beautiful to hold onto the past. She's becoming a ghost among these walls and while I will be sad to see her go, I hope that she crosses over soon. My memory of her will live on in the soul of the wildflower, this wildfire of a heart.
