XBOX is planning to shut down Ninja Theory and Double Fine 🥴 According to The Verge and Bloomberg, the July layoff wave will hit not just Compulsion Games but also the studios behind Hellblade and Psychonauts. The Relic: First Guardian drops July 31 with NO leveling or attack stamina 🔥 This Korean ARPG from Project Cloud Games is a soulslike WITH NO XP system. Capcom is cleaning house: the Dragon's Dogma II Deluxe Edition and most microtransactions are being pulled from sale 😱 The devs are removing controversial items like Rift Crystals, teleport stones, and jail keys, the very stuff that got the game trashed at launch. The director of The Damned, Thordur Palsson, will helm the Dead by Daylight movie adaptation 🎬 Announced back in 2023, the film finally has a director to mark the game's 10th anniversary. Jason Blum trusts Palsson to bring it from screens to cinemas. The script is by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick (The Conjuring) and Alexandre Aja (Crawl). No plot details or release date yet. Producers include Jason Blum, James Wan, and Stephen Mulrooney.
