Thinking a flashback is over when you've actually just dissociated away from it, and having it resume as soon as you stop dissociating

Being unable to tell if you've healed from a past problem/trauma or if you've just dissociated away from it

Not learning from past mistakes because of amnesia and dissociation

The alter race discourse gets recycled every six months but I do want to make a statement on it. Please take everything I say with a grain of salt because I am not a person of color.

I think when people hear “Alters cant be a different race,” they take it as “ALTERS CANT LOOK DIFFERENT!!” and not “An alter that appears to be a different race to the body cannot experience what its actually like to be that race, nor do they experience systemic racism that comes with that race (if the alter appears as a poc in a non-poc body)

#we have a few alters that resemble different ethnic backgrounds #doesn't mean they have those ethnic backgrounds mind you #nor have they experienced any of what ppl with those ethnic backgrounds have #and that's an important distinction #tldr: I agree #revlog

I got my comment removed on r/DID for saying it's wrong for hosts of systems to treat the other alters in their system as accessories when they should be treated like equals. All alters are equal. There is no "core", there is no "main character" who is more important than everyone else. IDC anymore, if you as the host think the other alters in your system are "your alters" you are very wrong and you are treating actual people like shit, the other alters in your system are not lesser than you. This shit is internalized ableism and I'm sick of it. You are not a singlet with "accessories", so quit acting like it. You are all equal.

I switched all my system tracking over to a spreadsheet! And I turned that spreadsheet into a template! SO YOU CAN USE IT TOO!!

I have some pictures of how I use it! And all you have to do is just make a copy and fill it out.

If anyone has any ideas for other columns I should add, please tell me! I'd love to help in any way I can.

Yes, this may be a spreadsheet that you only share with close friends. But it's better than nothing, I think.
