This one is purely self indulgent and can steer into NSFW territory depending on where you go with it. Did your TavDurge make the ...'deal' with Haarlep? (on a meta level, I'm not sure I ever could say no to it, making fun of Raphael is always appreciated). And even if they didn't - think about it for a moment and, just like them looking just slightly different to Raphael, design Haarlep using your OCs form. Put them side by side with your blorbo to show the minuscule differences. Have fun, go wild.

My Durge (resist) Aunrae did not take the deal with Haarlep - she already had issues with having Bhaal control her body, she wasn't about to let some rando incubus have a ride too. Also, she doesn't like the idea of sharing her body with anyone but Astarion. (Only one of my Tavs made the deal)

I can't really imagine any circumstances where Aunrae would have taken the deal - except if she hadn't lost all her memories and was still pretty much the Dark Urge. In that case, she wouldn't have a problem as she already indulged in sexual pleasure via murder - so what if every so often she'd feel a rush of sex as Haarlep used her body? Especially if she gained something worthwhile in return (and embarrassing Raphael would be worth it).

I suspect though... that eventually, she would hunt down Haarlep and kill him - as her nature was still the Dark Urge... everything must eventually die after all.

Since I began my tumblr socializing most of you are more familiar with Knight Iggy but Warlock Iggy is where it started. Chronologically Knight Iggy came first but...not in her creation as a character. I had to find out how she got to be a warlock in the first place.

Side by side Elven and Drow perspective: Love and Marriage.

Despite the obvious bias against the drow perspective on love, I think their attitudes are more similar than they seem at first glance.

There’s obviously the more liberal views on sex, as well as both societies having no stigma against children born out of wedlock, but I think it goes a little deeper…

One could say that the Elven need for freedom and independence is just the Drow’s mistrust and fear of weakness painted in a more positive light. Both of these groups find the idea of love and commitment daunting. Elves because they fear that needing someone and being needed by them will chain them down and limit their individuality, Drow because to need someone else is to be weak and to open oneself up to betrayal.

Drow handle their fears by limiting the closeness with their romantic partners, keeping them at an arms length and never fully trusting their doubts and fears (weaknesses) to them, lest they be used against them. All trust is foolishness, after all, and physical intimacy seems the lesser of two evils. I think this is also why a drow will seek out a partner of lesser station, because then that drow will have the barrier of social standing between the two of them.

Elves however, handle their fears a little differently. I find it interesting that the snippet says elves are more likely to get into long term committed relationships with shorter lived races. It’s safer. An elf can be free to love and be loved without worrying about spending their whole life with this person. They get 50(ish) blissful years and maybe a half elf or two out of the experience. Even when they do end up in a long term relationship with another elf, marriage is still a little too daunting (which makes complete sense given what elven marriages entail).

(I hope this doesn’t sound like I’m being dismissive. This isn’t meant as criticism, it’s meant as commentary on the lore.)

Saelseris as Prince Edward | Enchanted

At this point, it's pretty much an open secret that Sael's character was heavily inspired by Prince Edward. Unfortunately, I happen to have a serious soft spot for that particular brand of charming goofiness. Also, his darling's name is perfectly singable Giselle style. Kehhmm. NIMRIEEELLLLEEEEE

Obscyr as Scar | The Lion King

This one doesn't really need an explanation, just look at his face. They're a perfect match. He’s surrounded by idiots for sure. It's also my favorite photo from the entire set. 💕

Keith as Prince Eric | The Little Mermaid

It's become a bit of an inside joke between me and @bhaal-battle-beer-bard that Keith is so Prince Eric-coded. I mean, he's charming, he's a dog person, he has less enough brain cells to not recognize his girl, it just fits. Also I kinda developed a habit of turning him into a sculpture, but I'm choosing to blame the dog.

Elysande as Bruno | Encanto

This one is a little random, but picture me lying in bed late at night, half asleep, trying to figure out which character she could be. The very first one that popped into my head was Bruno. Though, I can't deny she'd totally enjoy watching telenovelas performed by tiny rats.

Roy as Maleficent | Maleficent

I really don't have an excuse for this one. I just wanted to see this man with horns and wings. Truly groundbreaking thought process, I know.
